Why dragonage 4?
Because these are all the REALLY crazy ideas, and if they have any chance of happening then the folks at Bioware will need to have them in mind from the begining of the game's development. I'm guessing they're already thinking about Dragonage 3, but who knows they may consider putting this stuff in the next game.

So come on everyone and tell us all your really crazy ideas for stuff you want to see in an upcomming Dragonage game...

Here is my contribution.

Import your characters from Dragonage: Origins AND Dragonage II.

I don't just mean import your choices. I mean have your Personal Origins and DA2 characters actually playing in the game itself; Hawke and the Warden together. Yes that means having your DA: Origins Warden become fully voiced for the game. A huge undertaking all its own, I realize this, but it would be great to have the option to play not one but two of your main characters in the same game. You can select for any given mission who you want to take the lead, then the other character becomes a companion option. And perhaps an added option during conversations to have your other character, if they are in the group at the time, cut in and say something rather then the current leader.

It might be amusing to have a conversation between the two of them, actually, where you'd end up with dialog wheels for both sides of the conversation. In fact I personally would LOVE to see that.

A bit of an advanced RPG option perhaps, so certainly not the default. But I think it would be both revolutionary and insanely fun to be able to have two main characters to play with.

P.S. and NO, you do not get to have a Romance between your Hawke and Warden characters, that's just f'n wierd. If you really want something like this write your own damn fanfic. :P

That wouldn't work for many reasons. Importing Hawke and the Warden would be an unrealistic expectation.

Also, I predict that an irritating meme will follow my post.

I like this idea. It'll be crazy. Something tells me we'll see Hawke maybe even if it's just him/her in a cut scene but that'll probably be for DA3. For me, I'd rather see choices from all three games still having consequences in DA4. Exiled Alister raising an army to reclaim his kingdom, the demon in Conner finally breaking free. The son of that random barman in DA:O you killed preparing a quest to hunt the Warden (he never finds him/her though).

Stupid technology...

I would like the idea of having Hawke and the Warden intertwined at some point, but as adversaries, not allies.  Also, I want Dragon Age 3 more than 4 right now.

Chunky, the whole point of this thread is to put up ideas for stuff that would otherwise be unrealistic expectations.

Just saying it's impossible doesn't really mean anything. Afterall, Bioware has done some pretty amazing things in their games before. Who's to say it's not possible after all?

Kinda found this thread on acident. However they now did comfirm DA3 and some thing like the warden and hawk will be in it. But I would like to see different type of endings finally in DA3 or 4 not the SAME ending no matter what. Whats the point of haveing free choice if the ending is gonna be the same. It defeats the point. Id like a real dark ending and a real happy ending for instance. You could say well Da already has different endings. Not they dont its just different versions of the SAME thing. Lets use hawk for exzample. Id like to see a ending where hawk goes nuts and kills everyone declareing him self vicount of the city and with help of the guard and citizens holds the city vs anyone. Where the normal version can be another ending. We can throw a 3rd one in there as well say you always wanted to take the neutral path or liked the arioshok so you keeped them around or joined them and took the city killing all these weakling human elfs and dwarfs installing the will of the qun on anyone willing to join. Thats 3 major different endings.

Bioware has said over and over that every game in the DA series will have a new main character. So no you will never play as The Warden or Hawke again. You may see them again but never as a playable character.

What would Alistair do that for? He never wanted 'his' kingdom in the first place.

Just an example. Just like the son of the Redcliffe barman was an example. I know Alistair wouldn't bother. I was just coming up with crazy ideas.

You're probably right about Warden and Hawke never being playable again.

Though imagine Dragon Age 4 has three perspectives.  70% of the time you play "DA4 Main Character".  15% of the time you play Warden.  15% of the time you play Hawke.  You'd then be able to have a new main character and still play Warden and Hawke again.  Shifting perspectives has been done before.  It happens very briefly in Witcher 2 at the start of Act II, iirc.  JRPG's have used that approach.  And it could make sense in Dragon Age, given any influence Game of Thrones has had on it.  Granted, I doubt it will happen because whenever I read Gaider quotes on how to handle the Warden in the future I don't get the impression from his quotes that he's considering the idea of Warden ever being playable again.

Characters who sparkle more the more they are in love. And if they are in love with another companion, they twinkle! Oh, and pastel coloured ponies as companions!

Oh, and people should discuss their feelings more. We need more protracted heart to heart discussions with our gaming created bestest friends.

And glitter makeup.
