So I'm almost done with my first playthrough as a DW rogue.
I'd just like to say that Shadow/Assassin kicks ass.
However, I've come across a bug that is really ruining it for me. I played without respec all the way to 20 when I finally decided I was going to respec so I could take the shadow and assassin trees (which I had already at 20), and take 5 points out of DW tree and put them into Specialist, cause that 90% cooldown reduction thing looked like it would just make me (who was already OP) even more so.
So I drink the pot, redistribute and take my 5 points into the specialist tree and.... nothing happens. Not a damn thing. Sure my attacks seem faster, but I certainly have yet to see me stun anyone (prolly cause they die too quickly anyway) and the cooldown reduction just doesn't work. Assassinate which is a 40 sec cooldown should be what, 4 secs if my math is right. Its still 40. So I thought maybe it doesn't apply to the Specialization trees. Lets try Backstab. Normally a 15 second cooldown, should be 1.5 secs now, um still 15. WTF.
I'm noticing some other things too. Like when I was flanking someone pre respec I pretty much critted all the time. As I was suppose to, seeing how I had Predator. Now after the respec I'm no longer critting on every blow from guys i'm flanking. I was actually more powerful PRIOR to the respec.
I've been reading people have been having problems with respecs. I tried looking for someone having problems with the CD reduction talent but have yet to see it. Is this just me? Or has anyone else seen this too?

Your math is way off, but I think that's because you (understandably) misread the talent. It says 2 things:
1. It reduces the cooldown of talents.
2. Talents are now at 90% cooldown.
That means the cooldown should be 40*0.9, not 40*0.1. If there is a reduction, you can't be sure it's reflected in the tooltip either. That's a typical bug.
I read somewhere that another cooldown reduction WAS working but not reflected in the tooltip. Think that was Heal for Anders.

Ah, I see where I went wrong now. Yeah that is pretty badly worded. Would be better to say talents now have a 10% reduction or something of the like. I wouldn't have blown 5 points in that crap tree had I known that. Ah well. Learning.

Heh, it's not the worst I've seen. Borderlands has a talent that gives a 100% cooldown reduction. But it still has a positive cooldown.
What they really means is that it increases the speed at which the talent cools down. By 100%.
