Why did Bioware decide to not include character deaths in the import data? Why do Leliana, Zevran, and Alistair all ressurrect themselves? Would this have been excusable in Mass Effect 2? For Kaiden/Ashley to show up with no explanation?

Zevran does not. Neither does Alistair or Nathaniel.

If we wish to bring someone back to life, it's because we wanted to.

If Zevran died in DAO, you shouldn't be getting the Murder of Crows quest at all.

Because the option was there as a reaction to your choice to defile the Urn of Sacred Ashes... not as a "you will never have to deal with this character again". We're not saying what happened in that chamber never occurred... in fact, we're not saying anything yet, with regards to Leliana. You're free to make all the assumptions you like, of course, but if what you're insisting on is "I think X is dead so I should never see them again no matter what"... well, prepare to be disappointed.

What happens isn't always going to be what you think should happen. It will, in fact, pretty much always work out the way we think it should-- and that includes bringing characters we like back. For those people who are just going to stamp their feet and insist that it should be what they want instead, I can guarantee that there's no amount of explanation that will convince them it isn't some offense to their idea of how our universe should work... so I'm not about to try here on these forums.

At any rate, I assume the original question was answered. I'll leave it at that.

That is the entire problem in a nutshell. And not that the writers can change what they want (which is so obvious it doesn't even need to be said), but that if people want their choices (you know, the ones you gave them?) to stick and are disappointed when they don't they're just being whiny whiners stamping their feet like children. 

Not all choices are going to have the same effect, and just because some don't carry forward the way you think they should doesn't mean that none of them do. You're free to exaggerate to make your point, that's up to you-- I completely get that you're unhappy (in general), but playing the injured party and claiming my attitude is bad like I'm some clerk at a retail counter there to take your personal order is hardly convincing anyone. Sorry.

If you have a problem wih his actions you are an authority and it is within your or your companies capacity to remove any of his posts that you find offensive. It is not acceptable for you, the professional representative of your company, to sink down to a forumite's level.

Tell you what. I'll leave estimations on my professionalism to my bosses. But thank you for the advice.

And seeing as we've now descended into personal attacks, this "bitter forum troll" is going to shut down this thread. If you wish to restart a similar topic, do so without the flagrant attacks-- and I'll avoid it like the plague, since it seems anything that isn't me being apologetic and far more respectful of the opinions and feelings of others than they are of mine isdefensive bitterness.
Probably best if I just leave the angry ones to flail about without providing them a target.
