Does anyone know what has become of Mr. Bartel? Is he working on Dragon Age? If so is he working on DLC? It would be nice if he could come up with something as good as Witch's Wake. I have asked this in the past without much of a response, so I figured I would ask again.

Taken from Rob Bartel's blogspot: "In November, we'll be launching Dragon Age: Origins, our most ambitious game to date, and I'm working on the Live Team, developing content that will be available following the game's release."

I am surprised we haven't seen Rob developing some non-traditional Dragon Age DLC. Rob designed the Witch's Wake NWN module (free version still available here, warning: the store is incomplete because planned sequels were never published) and consciously chose to do something very different from traditional NWN. I don't think Rob was happy with Atari/Wizards of the Coast imposed constraints on the NWN premium modules program.
So why hasn't Dragon Age published DLC that pushes the envelope the way Witch's Wake did? Rob is now free of the constraints of he chaffed under (chaffed is my word, not his) during the NWN premium modules program.
My fear is that Bioware DLC designers don’t have creative freedom because the expense of creating Dragon Age DLC is much greater than NWN premium modules. So Dragon Age DLC plays it safe to ensure the commercial return pays for the development. If my hypothesis is right, then I can’t help but mourn the loss of truly creative DLC that Witch's Wake embodied.
Edited to fix the link to the free version of the module.

Not certain, but I seem to recall Rob's moniker associated with the Darkspawn Chronicles. Take a look-see in there....
Per the Wiki, he was lead Writer for Return to Ostagar, and the Feastday DLC's.
