We all had a good laugh playing DA:O didn't we? If we didn't laugh along with Alistair we could at least cackle as we let the fool talk himself into being carried off in chains. And Shale, Zevran...

All we haters most likey would have been quietened somewhat if only DA2 had a little charm, a little variety - a little humour.

Apart from banging EA/Bioware over the head with a large frying pan again, the point of this post is to ask if anyone can tell me who injected the humour into Origins and where have they gone?

Really? That was one of the few Merrill lines which fell dead for me - I guess humour's just too personal a thing. I am generally discounting Merrill as she's like a real Welsh girl, not a Dalish elf.

Hawke: Well if it isn't Worthy, The dwarf with the incredibly ironic name!
I giggled a bit

I find when I'm stressed out or in a bad mood, nothing seems funny. When I'm in a good mood and relaxed, things seem better. :)

I felt it was rather well less humorus than DA:O, not sure why but I just did. There were some good convorsations and some were funny but a lot of it felt forced.

The comedy is still there, it's just not pumped into a one liner every three seconds like it was in Origins.

If there is anything that Dragon Age 2 does better than Origins it's the humor. Way more comedy in DA2.

Yes, but they obviously tried for it with the large, signposted comedy mask in almost every conversation option.

It's all in how you look at it. DA2 does have a lot of humor in it, there's even funny lines the PC can drop. In origins, I was more fond of Morrigan's dry wit:

"...I also think that Allistair should take his place." (when releasing Sten from his cage).

Yes, I thought the sense of fun was entirely missing. It only appeared briefly in the conversation with King Alistair. There was humor in the game, but it was as dour as everything else.
