 I just fnished killing all of the conspirators in Hightown (right by Fenris' place) and picked up everything but the quest icon is still there and it says I still have to "search the bodies of the Hightown conspirators for clues".  There is nothing left to search and as it is a main plot quest I can't move on.
Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I've tried leaving the area and coming back, which didn't work.

I waited five minutes, without pausing the game, and a lootable body popped up for me.

I've been waiting around for a while now and nothing has popped up... do you remember where exactly it appeared? Hopefully this isn't going to be a game breaker after close to 40 hours...

You mean the exact spot where the body was? No, don't remember...

Try leaving and reentering the area?

aha got it. found an autosave from about 2 hours back in the game and this time it worked.

i've waited... re-entered the area.. left to a different zone and then back again... even reloaded to an earlier save... still nothing.

This is a bug. I have had bodies that should be there, not be there. In a few cases re-fighting the battle results in the body appearing. Otherwise, you are out of luck and this will be an unfinishable quest.

then i suppose it's unfinishable at this point because i've literally tried everything even re-doing the fight. i hope my next character this doesnt happen...

I find that I'm at the same juncture, Is this quest a main quest line, and does it stop you going forward to the next act?
