Hello All,
I just started DA2 and I love it. I started with mage, go up to level 7 with ice and fire, then switch to warrior 2h up to lvl 7, and now i am trying out Rogue DW only up to lvl 5. So far I am in love with Rogue DW, the back stab is super awsome.
Right now I am focusing in Dual Wield and will go with assassin and the other tree that is NOT DUELIST, however, what else should I train in? I was thinking of archer, but I already have Varic in the group, also for my group, I was thinking of 1 mage (Merril or Ander) 1 warrior (Recommendation?) Varic and me..
So what other skill should I get train on? Is my group a good choice? I was thinking of Ander + Merril + Varic + me, but a group with no tank make me a bit un comfortable.
Please help.

Get Blindside for sure. Maybe 1 point in Precision. You can also go all the way with Specialist if you want, but it costs quite a lot.
Fatiguing Fog is pretty good too I think if you can reach that. To set up disorient combos.
As for the group. Depends on the difficulty. I like having healing and I like setting up combos. That means I bring one of each class. You don't need tanks in this game, although they can be nice to have when your main character is a squishy rogue.
Anyway, in my rogue playthrough I used Merrill, Anders and Aveline when I wasn't forced to bring someone else. Worked very well. Turns out Merrill is quite a good tank if you really focus on making her a blood mage.
