I believe that, when taking Aveline with you, there should be an option with every person you talk to, to have her punch them in the face. The Arashock, blod mages, your mother, bosses.
It would solve EVERYTHING.

It seriously is the best. Just let DePuis go when you find him in his mansion and take Varric with you when you rmother is kidnapped.
First time I seriously thought I was going to have to fight DePuis when he started talking about joining the blood mage, but then BAM. He falls and Varric is standing behind him with his bow out.

How badass was it when she deflected the giant Qunari throwing spears with her sword. Oh Aveline how my Hawkes pine after thee.
Anyway, the best companions action in the game is Varric Mother****ing Tethras pwning a STONE DEMON with a single bolt.
I was like, "Oh crap, I'm going to have to fight this nutball, and the Rock Wraith really tired me out..."
And then BAM. "Bianca says: the treasure is ours!"
