We already thought Orlais would be DA2, back when DAO kept hinting at it. Developers are never entirely sure what they'll do next. They may be strongly considering Orlais for DA3, but let us not consider it a certainty.

I think so too, between that and Alistair saying there might be a civil war there, there's plenty going on in Orlais.

I don't know why but everytime I heard a mention of Orlais in DA:II I teryn Loghain. If a war between fereldan and orlais is going to happen well then it would seem Teryn Loghain was right. Now I regret killing him

I imagine that it is the most likely place. We have the possible war between Ferelden and Orlais. There's this mess with the Chantry from DA2, and Orlais is the center of the Chantry. Then, yes, Bodahn and Sandal are going there next. That's probably the best indicator.

I'd prefer Tevinter - where mages are men and not mice.

The game has only been out 8 days?
I guess this happens when you are limited to playing only 1 race, no replay value .

I got the same feeling. Mainly it's from Bodahn saying that's where he's going next but also the talk of the Divine's successor. As to the idea that it was hinted at that Orlais may have been the setting for DA2 because of some hints in Origins I must say that, and I've completed Origins 4 times now, I never really got that sense so I'd say there's a strong possibility The DA3 will be in Orlais.

Didn't this happen for DAO too? With the exact same suggestion.

Definitely, Sandal is there for the hero in both DAO and DA2. Without him, neither the Hero or the Champion would have won.

people start speculating sequels the moment they beat the game. the same exact thing happened with DA:O so dont try and use that against it lolKesica wrote...

The more I read, play, see, the more the feeling I have that we are in the age of chaos, when things change. And change of this scale is not peaceful. The powers shift and powervacuums as well as multiple power struggles appear. While I personally wish for a real closure, it seems to me, that from game making perceptive that would be unwise. The more aspects, elements, scenes of this chaos they can show, the more games we'll have to enjoy.
It is always good to have some sort of central topic for the games, that gives a base motivation. If we are in the prelogue of a big war, then really, the possibilities are endless. (So many little hints indicate this, on the other end, they leave doors open for the devs with less limitations.)
I would love to check out Antiva once. But I would gladly settle with Orlais too. I just hope it'll be the same story we continue.
