People having trouble with Fenris romance seem to be playing the fence with other characters. On my second playthrough, I wanted only Fenris, and didn't flirt or lead on anyone else. I successfully romanced him on the first try. I think it is in character, for him not to move in with Hawke.

Fenris is an escaped slave, and values his personal space. I can relate.  I thought it was presumptuous for Anders to ask to move in. I would have said no, if it wouldn't have ended the romance.

@Zeleen, might want to edit the first post and paste that guide in, might be easier to find when people look:)

Also...Squee!

It's a fun game, imagining what a mage Hawke on rivalmance path must have going through her head, the moment she gets wallshoved and he starts glowing :P

Wasn't Fenris voiced by the same guy who voiced Albert Wesker from one of the Resident Evil games?
I know I've heard that sexy drawl somewhere

Fun thing is, I'll remember that bossfight forever, because it's completely impossible on PC-coop, unless you manage to skip 90% of the fight by hitting is glowing red weakspot with a rocket :|

For me it was PS3 and I played RE5 on hard the first time so I can't forget anything about the game=].

You are not alone, friend.

Well, if Fenris would stop being a total jerk at everyone around him, I'd might reconsider. Thou I seem to have him on "rivaly" and that might have something to do with the fact that I usualy dissagree with his facist world view.

...oh who am I kidding, he is a jerk.

This is my second play through romancing Fenris. You don't need both gifts to max out his friendship points (I missed the book the first time round). Also, you don't necessarily always have to side with the templars, but I've never sided with a blood mage. Kill slavers on sight. I talked him out of killing his sister with no ill effects.

I agree with other posts. It's his voice that does it for me. What is it about broody, angry, boys? Hot.

Uh huh very hot. Am glad to know that that missing that book does not affect much of anything.  Just turning off the lights and having Fenris talk is more than enough satisfaction. To a certain extent anyway :o)

Well, what can anyone say. Haters gonna hate.

Gideon Emery can narrate my dreams any day. He's the leading man, after all (For those who DON'T get that, play FFXII and get with voice actors...)

Agreed.

  I so want Fenris as my leading man....

In Act III for Alone, you can get a rather nice friendship boost from him if you let bethany die in the deep roads, and had varric kill bertrand....have varric in your party...he'll initiate a cutscene and help to convince Fenris NOT to kill kis sister (if you pick the don't kill her, she's your family option).

I romanced him in my 1st play and my hawke is mage XD, I got the achievment with him, just flirt with him every time you can and dont sleep with other char, Fenris would not like to be your second or third lover he must to be the only one and the first ^_^

PD Yes, was his voice i couldnt resist when he appeared >.<

You can still get the romance option with Fenris, and him coming back to your house, even if you romanced and slept with Anders first....you just have to break up with Anders in the after-conversation (great scene btw)....and NOT have initiated the romance conversation with Fenris.....

Honestly, Fenris's companion quests are key. Side with his viewpoints ENTIRELY on them, and don't even take the elf girl as a servant. While you can recoup some points by saying you gave her a job, and his reaction of "Oh....that's... good then." is SUPER cute... you just don't see that it docks you rivalry points for picking that option first and then you negate a few of them. To get max friendship from it, you have to just give her the coin and tell her to go. Also, make sure when Fenris has a choice, you let him make it, like when it comes to Hadriana's death. And don't nag him about how he gave his word or he'll get irked with you. I haven't even done his second companion quest (his sister) and he's already locked into full friendship with me. And I just didn't take him along on any aspect of the Wayward son quest EXCEPT for the slaver part. That's key if you want to balance friendships. Others appreciate you giving Feynriel choice... Fenris doesn't. But he does very much like you killing off the slavers. So doing some companion switching there to maximize friendship profit is the best if you don't want to go anti-mage. In all of my playthroughs, I've sort of stood in the middle until they forced me to pick in the end. I was never 'pro-mage' or 'pro-templar'. I was just 'pro-sense'. But playing that way DOES require you consider companions and know which ones to take when.

I got +5 friendship for giving her coin, +15 for hiring her as a servant...
