I think DA:III is gonna have Flemeth as the main antagonist
At first I thought DA3 would take off with your Warden on the hunt for Flameth but after just finishing DA2 I'm not sure what Bioware are gonna do for DA3.

The sandal thing. Maybe the Maker will come down to destroy the darkspawn once and for all. Destroy tevinter imperium. Destroy any chance of another blight. Idk how, but that would be sweet. And then Hawke is like his champion and stuff.

you play as hawke, you receive a letter from the warden (DA:O warden or the frenchy from awakening depending on import), you head to meet them. find flemeth standing over his/her burned corpse. then she manipulates and tricks you into going into the deep roads again to wake up the next old god. then you have to fix your mistake by stopping the blight you started and killing flemeth once and for all

We don't know what Flemeth is or what her plans are. We don't know what the deal is with the ancient Dwarven Thaig or the McGuffin that drove the Knight Commander insane. or why she even wanted it We don't know what the Qunari will do after the whole invasion debacle. We don't know what Seekers are planning to do in wake of the Circle and Templar rebellions. We're no closer to understanding the nature of the Darkspawn. We're no closer to understanding the Black City or what it really is. And now even Sandal spouts prophetic nonsense.
It's not that I don't like mystery or a good cliffhanger but so many plot points are offered up without any attempt to advance the already existing ones that it's just getting confusing.

IE: one act you play Hawke, another act you play the Warden, and they meet up in a third/fourth/etc act and you can play whichever you choose.
As for what, I have no clue. I'm leaning towards Orlais. I hope we don't destroy Tevinter, but then Tevinter isn't as bad as people seem to think. I mean sure, it's bad. But Ferelden has nobles who rape elves and nothing's done till you do. It has nobles who go on killing sprees and nothing's done till you do something. Kirkwall has templars lobotomizing mages and it's more or less swept under the rug. The Qun are basically Buddhist Communist Hindu Borg. None of the cultures are /really/ good.
Tevinter has more 'bad people' on top, but that's pretty normal with a culture as old as it is. Preventing that is difficult without some sort of populist base, and that's not going to work well in a fantasy land.

Liliana finds and saves you in the middle of a battle, knowing who you are (although you don't find out until much later on). She enlists for your help in tracking down Hawke and the Warden, as well as setting the world right.
-You spend a good portion of the game finding clues to their whereabouts, and traveling to Tevinter, Seheon, and unseen locations of the Free Marches and Fereldin where you see and experience the effects of the wars.
-Liliana and Verric return as party members, and Casandra joins your party as a warrior. The rest are new characters.
-Flemmith captures you and reveals that you're like her, born with the soul of an Arch Demon inside you. You soon discover that you, the Warden and Hawke are all pieces of the puzzle in Flemith's unraveling agenda.
That's old school BioWare epicness right there.

I dont think we will be Hawke in DA3
Judging by the edning, the two heroes will most likely play a large part (in some fashion).

Morrigan becomes a cog that can turn the wheel.
The baby is cameo.
Years of training yields a child with a hidden power.
You choose the class.
You play the god baby. You can look like whatever you want.
You will not find out till later.
The game ends with you making a choice.
Bring back the magic of the old and let the spirits good and bad come down from the sky entering our world.Reviving arlathan.
Or Work with the chantry in the hopes that merging the fade with thedas will bring about the maker.
Or work to close the fade forever.Severing all mages powers.

My prediction is that it's going to suck and have a linear plot that ignores all choices made in Origins and.. oh wait, there are no choices in Dragon Age 2 that effect the world.
I'm guessing you quit halfway in DA2 cuz you didn't like it. Obviously you don't even know how it ended. Good job.

Yet I imported a dead leliana and dead anders....they popped back up anyway like nothing happened.I.AM.DUNCAN wrote...
regarding the God Baby, they can't have something based on an indefinite choice. If you don't decide to f**k morrigan, then there's no God Baby. That's why any theories that support the existence of God Baby won't come true.
THe integrity is no longer there.
THUS all therories are now applicable.

It's not easy to find one person in a huge world. Hawke left, the Warden left.
