Not saying they are right or anything, But Damn they are badass.. Their theme, their awesome looking armor and the helmets.. And the video of when they are charging in to annul the circle. They cut through them like butter. I mean... geez. The one with the shield who slams the mage and the slashes another.. That guy needs a promotion, for being so damn badass,

And yeah.. The Theme! Tis so mad.
keep in mind I'm not saying the way they treat mages etc. is good or anything, not saying its bad either. Thats a completely different topic. Just saying. They Are freaking badass! lol

Thoughts? Opinions?

I do agree about the scene when they charge the mages. I reloaded to an earlier save just to watch it again.

Im still unsure where my loyalties / The loyalties of my characters lie with the Mage vs Templar battle.. But nothing could really change my opinion of the fact that Templars are freaking badass lol

I have trouble finding them all that baddass, when carver hawke is the only templar in the entirety of two games, that isn't completely braindead.

What? Sif! Cullen in DA2 is a champ and if it weren't for him hawke would be dead anyway since he would have had to face the rest of the order there as well.

Gregoir was kind of cool as well.. And Carroll was awesome.
Alistair was once a templar, he was awesome, Ser Bryant was awesome.

All the templars are scum and they look stupid.

Second worst 'badasses' ever, right after Quarich in 'Avatar'.

You mean the same Cullen that had this really meaningful talk with me, on how mages are less then human, talking to three apostates that had just saved his ass?
And that same Gregoir who wanted to annul half a dozen children who had set up their line of defense within comfortable talking distance of the door he was guarding?

Two marvellous specimen indeed.

A reasonable zealot is still a zealot. the templars are a bunch of religous dumbasses that perform massive atrocities and then cover it up with thin veneer of piety.

after hawke beats an army of golems and meredith im thinking that cullen was looking out for his own hide.

Like I said in the original post. Their actions are not related to the it... The way they present themselves is what defines their badassery.. Their armor, their theme.. Their pwning. =D

The templars definitely have style, aside from the odd sissy gown things around their legs. If you removed the whole religious zealotry and unwavering devotion to a cavalcade of oppressive madmen, I'd hang out with a templar.

Or at least swipe the armor.

I didn't doubt their badassery, nor their cause, I'm  just saying that I won't support them until their collective mental level exceeds that of an equal number of marbari :P

Well, Cullen was anyway.

I have no idea what happened between DA:O and DA2 to turn him from a whiny cowardly **** to some kind of bad mother****er, but it's much appreciated.

The only levelheaded templar in charge with enough balls was surprisingly Cullen. Everytime I talk to him, I expect him to draw his sword and try to mow down the mages in my party. Turns out, he's a changed man and confronts Meredith no matter which side you're on.

Quite true. I'm rather glad to see the traumatic events in the Circle did not have a permanent effect on him.

Templars ARE mages.

They wield magical abilities so they are mages. Even if their talents are limited to dispel and mana draining techniques(Well that smite attack is as much offensive magic as it gets)

You wield magic of any kind, you're a mage, simple as that.

I support the Templars, but their outfits looks ridiculous. Have you realized that all of them wear skirts? Even the backflipping Hunters? I mean WTF. It also looks lame in its dull gray color - but perhaps that's because I associate it with Ser Wesley. :-)

Mages have inate abilities. Templars get their abilities from Lyrium dust that they consume.
