Templars. Just a bunch of lunatic zealots following the biggest lunatic in Kirkwall. Mages all the way.

But it was the Templars that decided to be the first to murder all of the mages even after they found out who blew up the church (Anders). The mages are not innocent at all, but if I had to pick sides I'd join them instead.

You can actually spare mages when you side with the templars.

Personally I've tried to convince myself in someway that what Templars do to the mages even outside of Kirkwall is justified. No matter what you try to do to convince yourself that the 'templars' are right in their duties, they just arn't, it's slavery no matter how you slice it. Mage is no more dangerous then a tyrant, well trained assassin, list could go on, even if that wasn't the case caging them because it could happen is insane.

I've read most if not all of the codec's in DA:O and DA:2 ranging from Chantry version and Andraste's, none of them mention slavery, just simply shouldn't rule over man. Even so it's religious non-sense it's forcing religion on you. To stay on topic though, Templars look badass, scene was very fun to watch. I'm curious why the mages sat and danced to thriller until the templars starting hitting them. They could of nuked and destroyed the templars before they got close O.o

I'm a completionist to a certain degree and I can't choose to side with the templars to even finish that ending or choose that path because I can't convince myself their choice is even reasonable.

Yeah... and Darth Vader murdered a bunch of jedi, including children because his master said to... Doesn't mean he isn't badass..

You know people are going to use this as a place to discuss the mage/templar thing despite you saying it's a different topic. ;)

If you want true badasses, go with the Qunari. They are the real badasses.

I agree the Templar Charge did look pretty epic until I completely wiped them out with my Mage Hawke :).

They're more religiously fanatic than the templars. Even their rebels are religiously fanatic in their rebellion doing everything so orderly and still qun like.

Whether or not I agree with the role the templars play, they certainly had style in that scene.

That may be true but the Qunari almost reek of badassery. With that much order and dedication I don't see how they havent taken over Thedas entirely.

Oh, Qunari scare me in their philosophy. I just think they are scary overall both in badassery and their cold attitude.

I think they are headache but so are many people, well, to be fair most group isn't that difference either. Qunari is cold but their philosophy have great point, and they treat their follower or anyone they see worth fair.

I just cringe at what they do to their own mages. As Hawke said, they are pretty much a walking cage.

okay the Scene was to be expected oh no here come people with armor and swords were mages who can kill from a distance but get in close enough with a sword and are robe will block it you have to look at the differences a good mage would not let the Templars get close enough to use their sword but that was a close quarters battle what did u expect

Yeah, first time I went through as a mage for the mages. Fought BLOOD mages ALL THROUGH KIRKWALL (way to prove a point ANDERS). Second time Templars. Ended up making this sigature banner. 'Nuff said.

Yeah well I don't consider turning into a mess of demonic corpses and trying to kill your best chance at defeating the templars a meaningful gesture. I mean he might have killed like, what, six templars in that little stunt? Then got owned. Pointless. Would have done more helping me fight Meridith instead of going against everything he stood for and accomplishing absolutely nothing in the process lol
