I always used to think that V-shaped piece of metal at the top of Hawke's champion armor was for collecting rain water or making it very hard for Hawke to take a leak or tie his boot straps. It serves absolutely no defensive purpose and looks to actually hinder mobility and perception, bad armor design! But now I have a practical use for it!

That made my day. Finally! An explanation for that rassafrackinconsarnit thingie. I can finally sleep at night again, no more tossing and turning trying to figure that silly piece of metal.

Its something seen more in jousting armour. it does have a very practical purpose in that case as getting the lance jammed under the helmet could be fatal.

It's a bit over the top, but it is based on real armour design (and even in use today).

Nope, the metal is not high enough to call it a gorget or a bevor, & it's too low & too long to be a lance guard.

I just kept thinking it would poke my character's eyes out if her face got slammed into it.

Since there are no genlocks or sharlocks in DA2 to my knowledge, I guess this is the last one :)

I never came close enough with Hawke to really look at them. Boy am I glad about that. I'd probably have cracked a rib falling off my chair in a fit of hysterical laughter.

Emissaries are supposed to be more intelligent gerlocks or hurlocks.

Emissaries in DA2 looks like totally different race. So annoying.

But come on. We all know Skyrim has already failed. Graphics can't save its terrible gameplay and who's to say The Witcher 2 won't be any different?

Huh? I hope that was that a joke? Skyrim won't even be released until November. I don't understand how anyone can claim that the gameplay will be terrible, since no one has played the game yet.

Well look at Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3. Nuff said.

Matter of opinion not a real fact like everything in this damn forum. This thread is amazing, please keep your personal opinions away from this thread.

Oh my stars. I just noticed it (didn't before, because I had tears in my eyes from laughing and crying at the same time). Look, it's got elf ears. That's were the Shrieks went. They ran across the elf streamline artist, and he (or she) hit them with the stupid stick.

Oh, I get it. Hit the elves with the ugly stick. Turn the Emissaries into Shrieks, and hit them with the clown stick and boom = Streamlined.

Triss

WAAAAAHT`?!

HORRIBLE. If that´s Triss in Witcher 2, then maybe it´s not better than DA2 after all:sick:
Triss was so hot, and cool, and powerful, and even important for the story, in Witcher 1. But on the screen she looks just :alien:
