Depends how your exchange server is setup. I've worked at the same place for more than 3 years and I've yet to see a single spam email reach my inbox so far. Depends also how you distribute your email address too I guess.

yes, that imo is the biggest flaw of the game.
even in some older and not popular games, like Lionheart, you can't cast magic on the city or the guards will attack you.

They said they don't want put a stress on people playing as mage. But people also want DA is a challenging game with deep game mechanic.

I think that hiding your mage nature might actually make things a lot more fun. Perhaps they shouldn't try to spoon feed morons.
