Hello! A few days ago I purchased Dragon Age 2 and installed it on to my laptop. I have since decided to install the same game on to my desktop, under the same email the key is registered to but I continue to get an error saying that the product key has already been used. Is there something I'm doing incorrectly, or is the game not able to be installed on another computer?

I have tried to reinstall three times, just incase something went wrong, but I'm continuously told that the product key is already registered and to make sure I am signed into the account the game is registered to - which I am, this is my only account attached to EA. Any help would be appreciated.

That's weird. I have the game installed on two PCs and can run it on two PCs at the same time.

Hmm that's really strange - does it say anything when you try to activate the game using your bioware social account (the email log-in)? I had the login fail as well, but then it activated ok with the key, however I don't know how it would react if you used the key activation twice.

Also perhaps try entering the game on your laptop, then signing of the EA/bioware social account while ingame and then trying again on your desktop. Perhaps it's still detecting a sign of you being logged in even after the game is closed.

Other than that all I can suggest is contacting EA support and asking if they maybe know where it's going wrong. You should be able to install and activate the game on 5 machines within a 24 hour period, and other people have been able to do this, so it should work for sure.

Friend have installed it on his computer at home, and the gaming computer at my house (Weekend LAN parties). He encountered no issues. So the problem isn't because you cannot do it.

I am having a very similar - if not the same - problem. We have 2 PCs in the house. My dad installed DA2 on his machine first, and it works fine. When he gave me the disc to install it, it won't let me use the same product key! Somehow, I was able to register it on my profile here, but when I try to play the game, it asks me for the damn product key again, and refuses it once again!

This is ridiculous. What is going on???

Right, I have tried to solve the problem by going through the EA site, and they were as much help as chocolate microwave. The game can only be installed once, on one computer only, so either the people on here who say otherwise are mistaken, or trolls.

I am, frankly, disgusted.
