I just finished my first playthrough as an archer and was wondering what was better for DPS... Dexterity or Cunning? I know Dex effects the base attack, damage, and crit chance, but cunning bumps up the crit damage, which is a nice benefit for archers and their 100+ base damage weapons. Is there a point where Dex is best, but then you should switch to Cunning? Or vice versa? Is Cunning better for archer rogues becuase of their higher damage weapons and Dexterity better for DW rogues?

I'm not a math whiz, so I was wondering about this and how I can improve the next rogue playthrough.

Thanks!

Go even; 50/50; it's what I do, can't go wrong there.

As much cunning as you can get, especially as assassin with 2% damage increase per cun. You don't need a high crit chance to make your rogue crit. Make him crit higher instead and use auto crit abilities.

I went mostly Cunning, since you get double benefit from the Assassin tree, but I still had boatloads of Dexterity at the end due to gearing.

My Crit Damage was 250% base, Crit Chance was 80%.

50/50 is great. For using abilities and such you don't need more than 41 dex. But I found myself forced to autoattack some of the time, and for that it's worth it having a bit more dex just to keep up attack ratings. Note that this also depends a bit on your groups buffs and such.

I think a good thing to aim for is at least 100% chance to hit normal enemies. That's how you refill your stamina a lot of the time, at least as an archer. It's pretty important to be able to fill it up quickly by nuking weak adds so you can use your nastiest abilities against the strong ones.

I say take dex to low to mid 30's with champion armor using rune of valience plus accessories that add +1 to atts you will get to 42 Dex easy and have a massive amount of cunning. I'm pretty sure you will be in the 80% or higher in attack depending on your bow. over 200% crit damage, and over 3000 points in defense

As a dual-wield rogue, as much dex as you need to keep near 100% hit on normals, the rest in cunning. You'll want 42 dex if you plan on using The Low Blow (I'd highly recommend it), or 41 if you plan on using other top-tier daggers. Also, put a few points in con so you can survive AoE and enemy assassins.
