They are pretty boring, but now that I take another look at the second one, is that large number the amount of huge killer Reaper ships coming towards us from dark space?

look, it's been like 6 months since their last DLC. This is generating successful buzz about ME2 again to even make people want to see a new trailer or news of their upcoming DLC, let alone actually market and sell it to people.

They aren't really suggesting anything about what will happen though. All we really know is it will a be a mission in some base on a jungle planet. We only know about the rescuing stuff because of the Trophy leaks, which was supposedly a mistake.

Overlord showed us we'd be dealing with weird mechs and a Virtual face type enemy. Shadow Broker showed us Liara would be involved and we'd be on a new type of ship. These pics tell us nothing. It looks like another BDTS/Overlord, extra mission with no real connection to the overall plot, even though it's supposed to be a major DLC.

I don't believe people are complaining about screenshots that are given out. A trailer is probably coming to hype up Arrival proper; this is an extra little thing they probably pieced together at the last minute just to tide us over. Be thankful.

That's a questionable statement, I'd probably rather have no information at all than the offensive treatment we seem to be receiving. It's as if Bioware treats the audience as animals in the zoo, throwing small bits and pieces with extremely patronizing attitude and watches the inhabitants devour and digest them for their own bizarre enjoyment...

I was excited long before the screenshots started to show up, so far only the second one is "doing it" for me. Hope a trailer is coming out soon.

 Yes, it's to tide us over, but its tied to how much buzz the screenshots get on Facebook.  The first two had a message like on them: "We'll release a new one tomorrow if this one gets 750000 impressions."  Now what these "impressions" are, I have no clue, but it got us 3 extra screenshots.  Now, these are nondescript, to be sure, but there could be giant, dramatic plot twists (like the return of a certain Alliance marine) that they want to save for the trailer.  Speaking of which...<_< *drums fingers* Bioware?  Are you listening?  You have a nontrivial section of your fanbase going "Shut up and take my money!"  You might want to, y'know, give us the trailer to a) increase that nontrivial section and keep those of us who are simply waiting for the release date more tidbits to work ourselves up over.  Oh and an actual release date would be nice.

Yeah, these screenshots are just annoying. And it's kind of arrogant to assume images of generic scenery of a now kind of unimpressive graphics engine will be enough to create a hype storm. It had the opposite effect on me.

I was pretty hyped until the last screenshot which was kind of a buzz kill for me. That one just made me realize how dated the graphics engine is now. @.@

The screen shots are allright and look good. Probably, without knowing details, the first might be the most interesting one. Hyping it up ... I try to avoid hyping in resent releases fro games. So far I'm faring better for it.

Also some of the pictures for older DLC probably seem more interesting as we already know what is going on in these DLCs so we can make the connection and make sense of them. With the Arrival DLC we don't know that much (aka we haven't played through it so we don't know how relevant those pictures are or not.

But it is good to hear something "official" at least, meaning more info can't be toooooooo far away

That last pic shows (zombie) Kaidan's place. You can shoot the barrels in front of his home to finish him off permanently.
