Hi folks,
First off I read through quite a few threads and it seems there are a lot of people experiecing problems on the PC. I just wanted to ask - as I don't know - am I within my rights to puruse a refund because of the following issues that have been occuring for a week now, making the game largely un playable.
1) Game crashes to desktop on occassion. No idea why.
2) I geet freezes when in conversation with NPCs which has resulted in the loss of story content and my general interest in it.
3) Windows keeps telling me (only when playing Dragon Age 2) that "My system appears to be running slow, would I like to change the Windows 7 Colour Scheme?"
Now, I'm not whining or anything I'm just curious as to my rigths here. As I'd like to play the game but in all honesty, can't - due to the reasons listed above.
Thanks for your time.

Hmm, getting a refund will be tricky, especially since this game includes a one-time registration, after which the key is permanently linked to an account and can't be reclaimed.
In general for a refund you need to contact the store you bought the game from, and it's then up to them to get back to the supplier, etc. However as the key has been linked to an account, most stores tend to consider it an used product and thus non-refundable (like with MMORPG's for example).
You could always give a try, but I rate your chances of success as fairly low, since the issues you listed could be fixed in a future patch and they'll probably tell you to give it some time.
The thing I usually do when I end up in a situation like this is uninstall the game and put it on the shelf for a few months and then come back to it later, annoying though it is. In most cases game patches and graphics drivers have improved by then and most major issues will have been resolved.
In the end it also depends on your system though. The closer a system is to the minimum requirements, the more issues are likely to arise and it may take more care with the settings and updating the drivers (generally later drivers improve performance, which can make a big difference on slower hardware). I don't know your system specs, so I can only guess at this ofcourse, but just make sure your system is uptodate, that's the best advice I can give you.
Problem no.3 isn't really a bug though, it's just windows suggesting something sensible at a really dumb time - what might help remove this message is to switch your windows aero theme over to windows basic or classic before you start the game. Aero uses up more resources than basic/classic, so if the game is pushing your PC to the limits, it's a good idea to disable aero beforehand to free up more resources.

I suggest posting system specs including what driver version you're currently running. I'll see if I can help you after that.
