ok I like videogames with lots of story and characters does this game offer it and how? From 1 being worst to 10 being best how would you rate each the story and characters and why? I don't really care about the gameplay lol. Also how difficult is this game on normal difficulty from 1 being easy to 10 being the most difficult and why? Thanks again I will buy this game depending on what people say...

Great characters. Somewhat cliché story. Still, a good story, but I've seen it all before.

A few very likable characters. Story is so-so keeps you playing though, the setting is more interesting than the story.

I'm like you, I'm an RPG player through and through, just for the story mostly. I've played pretty much every bioware game and a large number of RPGS, western and eastern. but I think this game has sucked me into the story and characters more than any other game I've ever played. the voice acting, writing, and presentation are superb IMO

The dialogue for characters is outstanding, they must have been writing for years to have made such a massive undertaken. Story doesn't recreate the box for vet rpg gamers, but there's lots of potential. It's worth the money, get it for the computer if you have the option.

Characters -- 9.9. Story 8.5. Will u be playing on pc or console? I don't know how hard it is on normal. On hard, PC version, it's nothing a Baldur's Gate vet can't handle, but persons not used to a tactical party based style combat (ie not action, but tactics) it might prove difficult. I can't imagine anyone having trouble on easy -- but, then again, people come on here and complain that it is too hard. I don't know how any person could find it difficult on easy. My god daughter is 7 years old playing on easy version, PC and has made her way to the bottom of the Tower @ Ostagar without too much help.

What went wrong . . . hmmm they might be the best characters I've seen in an RPG and probably any game in a long time if not ever. I'm sure it could be done even better so I don't want to give a perfect score. The Morrigan disapproves is a joke youll get after you play.

that "morigan dissaproves -10" thing is a game reference. You have to have played to get it... not particularly helpful if you ask me.

Lil Kis. This game is unparalleled by anything currently on the market. Period. Unless you can only afford 1 or 2 games a year (or are looking for a christmas present) I can't see any reason not to pick this up. There is nothing currently on the market that is better than what dragon age brings to the table. Of course, this is just my value judgement, but that's what you're asking for anyhow.

Great game. Combat is 8 out of 10, and is definitely the closest thing to Baldur's gate that I've seen.

Characterization is a bit hit and miss some times - the great NPCs get 10 out of 10, but some of them are pretty annoying, and get 5 out of 10. I'd say 7.5 out of 10 all up.

Plotline/overarching Story is standard High/Dark Fantasy fair, however it is highly enjoyable - i'm really loving playing a fresh BIG RPG through for the first time again.

Get it, the game is great, and will keep you occupied for a long.

I agree.  If you like story/characters, this game is the bomb.  Maybe Heavy Rain: The Origami Killer (not out yet) will beat it in the characters department, but nothing else out there right now does and I doubt anything (except as noted before) upcoming will either.

The story is decent, the setting and lore are excellent, and the characters are well fleshed-out and well-voiced. The difficulty really depends on where you're at. I love tactical combat in RPGs and I'm finding the difficulty to be fine on Hard on the PC version. I've heard that the console versions are significantly easier.

What, exactly, are you looking to hear? If you like story and characters DA is as worth your money as any RPG I've played in years, so take that as you will.

I can't think of a single (significant) poorly characterized character.  Some do get on my nerves, but that is a product of good characterization (they are just well-characterized annoying characters) rather than poor characterization.

I liked DA's story and characters a lot more than most recent RPGs like the Witcher, Fallout 3, NWN2 etc. I just wish they would have done more with the Blight/Archdemon and Loghain.

If you only care about characters and story in a game then I think you'll really enjoy this.
