I have completed the game twice, once as a rogue and once as a warrior. Upon completing my second playthrough I did not receive my epic trophy. I know I am not the only person with this problem, as this a commonly referenced problem over at GameFAQS. Is there a patch coming for this or do I have to keep beating the game with new characters until I get it by luck?

I beat it for the second time a little while ago and didn't get my trophy unlock, I was pissed. Played first as a Mage, then as a Rogue, have the Post-Ending loads for each (which do nothing, you only have access to Hawke's Estate, and the Black Emporium, assuming you have the DLC)

@DarkAlmasy

So, you did not get this Epic trophy too?
If yes, seem like everyone play more than one round have the same problem.

Right now, I am playing 2nd playthrough and I am worrying this trophy very much.

Hope, Bioware or EA release Patch to fix this soon.

I'm wondering if anyone who has uploaded their data from Origins has gotten the trophy after they played through it.

I imported data from origins, and made the epic trophy after one playthrough. So it works that way

They need to fix this now!
I don't have my old save data from origins anymore. I upgraded my HDD and that save data was copy protected, so I lost it.

I planned on getting all the trophies for this game. Hopefully I will still be able to.
C'mon Bioware fix it if this is a problem which it is.

Why hasn't Bioware even acknowledged this issue?

I don't think anyone so far has managed to get Epic to pop without importing an Origins save. I would have, only I bought Origins on the PC and no way to get PC save on PS3..

@Echidnalexx: I made a poll and someone left a comment saying they got the trophy to pop without importing data. http://social.biowar...62/polls/17022/

Same here. Beat the game twice and no Epic pop.

Had a trophy issue with Insanity for Mass Effect 2, as well. I will no longer buy Bioware games on day one or month one. I'll wait til patches fix all the broken issues and trophies and buy it at a reduced price.

Because EA rushed out a crappy dev'd PS3 version and they know it.  There are to many issues for bioware to possibly acknowledge them all.  Another compnay EA has plowed into oblivion.  I hope they learn from this blunder.  I will NOT be pre-ordering console titles from Bioware anymore until I go through tech support FIRST, on day 2.

Fortuntaly the PC version always seem to be the best ones anyway.  I will stick with what they are good at.

i just tried beating my 2 files both with mage / templar endings and changing the difficulty.. nothing worked.. For everyone else who beat it with 2 file and no pop did you select the same default origins story for both? I'm thinking it may come down to selecting 2 different preset origin histories. please let me know if this helps. I just bought the ultimate edition so ill be playing through again once i beat that and hope it pops. I did an 8 hour run while trying to select the right decisions for the side with templars 5 times and getting the respect of the arishock but i think i can get a speed run down to 4-5 hrs using the lvling up glitch.

I got Epic on my first playthrough, having imported a DA:O save... (though sadly that was just about the only thing it got me, since a lot of the other flags didn't register in DA2 at all.)

I am not sure if Bioware had acknowledged this , but this was already known by a lot of people where if you beat the game without a DA:O save you will not obtain the achievement regardless how many times you complete it.

Hence why Bioware needs to acknowledge this. How the heck do you release a game and trophies are bugged. TROPHIES/ACHIEVEMENTS. That should be the easiest thing to code because I know from experience.

I completed it for the second time last night and didn't get it. I'm so annoyed. I really hope they release a patch for this soon as well because it's the only trophy I need in order to unlock the platinum. I had DA:O for the 360 so even though it would've been cool to import a save, I wasn't going to buy the same game again for another console. If I'd have known that the trophy description was false, I'd have borrowed the PS3 version of DA:O from a friend to import a save. =/

No this just can't go on.
I've been considering restarting as my first 60 hour playthrough ground to a bloody halt thanks to the Isabella speed bug.
And now the small solace I would have received from starting again and finishing my previous game post the as yet undated patch has been nullified.
Of course I was probably lying to myself by thinking the patch would actually work retroactively on my gamesave but hey.

Without being fecitious but how much more can you botch a game?
And I've played Bethesda titles!

Good thing I have a Last Straw save data. I've finished the game several times but still no Epic trophy. This is really getting frustrating Bioware. How did your QA miss this?

Dear Bioware,

Please don't let EA rush your product.

Sincerely,
Everyone
