I cried when I realize the camera wasn't detachable when casting AOE spell on PC...no seriously...I did. :crying:

Honestly though, the only emotion DA2 evoke in me was anger...angery at Merrill for being so stupid, angry at Fenris for whining all the time, angry at Ander for his retarded terrorist attack on the Chantry, and angry at Bioware for such a rushed game. At least the combat is somewhat entertaining if I can forget about the frustrating camera.

I cried when she died but I also felt ill because of HOW she died. It was horrific. Death I can handle, mutilation however really sickens me. All through the fight I was just furious, I wish I could've killed him in a cutscene rather than just in combat ...

My Male Hawke cried when the High Dragon and it's family gang romanced him.

I got a little misty during the sheparding wolves quest when the Qunari mage was finally able to speak. The scene of him and hawke walking together talking. I was thinking you mages in Kirkwall think you have it bad? Quit yer b****in ! Also the end when Carver came back as a warden and stated that he would stand beside his brother ( as it should have been all along). Seems a few years in the wardens gave Carver some purpose.

I think the sibling death (ogre) scene + mother's scene were pretty emotional. .

Pity bioware weren't given enough time to think of a good way to kill the surviving sibling (instead of just ...ooo i feel ill...urk), that was weak.

I actually like the Arishoks frustration (the "there is no ship" speech), and felt for him. Pity those Qunari can't communicate very well.

Meeting the Grey Wardens. When that amazing theme tune starts playing. I thought that was really well done. I didn't cry, however.

unlike DA:O, nothing...mothers death was a little upsetting but because we had such little interaction with her not like it should have been (the shorter HN origin in ORIGINS was more upsetting.)

other then that..it's all so contrived and trite.

for example my first play I "romanced" Merrill..even at the end of her quest after killing the Keeper and her clan attacks and you slaughter them all.....she has NOTHING to say on it..you just go back to town and continue on.  It's moronic.

"Gang romanced"?

Anders' "A wizard did it." line, i laughed till i got tears in my eyes. As for "cry" cry, nothing, though it seems like nothing does that for me anymore.

It's great to hear that some people cried during this game. I did feel for the characters, but I didn't cry. I didn't even cry at my (irl) mother's funeral and we were pretty close. I'd still say MGS4 ending was the most touching video game experience I have had. To see Snake's journey end was something that made me feel sad and happy at the same time.

But Dragon Age 2's story was dark and I LOVED it. I wish they would have gone as dark as manga called Berserk. I just like dark stories that don't neccessarily are about saving the world, so DA2 hit the spot.

I would have cried when Leandra died if it wasn't for a drama I recently did where someone killed people to recreate his dead mother. We called him Mummy's Boy. It just ruined that scene for me since it was just hilarious. I DID cry at Merrill's last quest. And when I first heard Merrill's voice, (soooo beautiful), but that was long before I got the game.

Entering "Cave" for the eleventh time. :)
And realizing Cassandra is not a Secret Companion.

Seriously, nothing, but I'm not Vase of Tears type anyways. There were some touching sets and scenes, that's for sure. There was a certain sadness in some of them and some heartwarming feeling when Carver stood by my side in the end.
Although they are yet to remake the sensation of seeing the true fate of the Water Dragon in Jade Empire. :)
That was the only time a shed one tear playing a video game.

I did cry during this game- and that saved the game for me. I cared enough to cry.
Cried when mother died- and the scenes after, cried when I told Anders to leave after the big boom, and during his dialogue before the final battle when I allowed him to fight, but to leave afterward. The whole "Some day there will be a mage like me and a hero like you and they won't have to deal with this struggle because of what I've done" (not verbatim, obviously) thing tore me up inside.

I cried (or teared up):

* When Bethany died (I know, I knew it was coming. Still, lame.)
* When Aveline killed her husband
* When Carver joined the Wardens (I thought there was some way to save him, and felt terrible; only later did I learn that this was probably the best outcome!)
* When Hawke's mother was brutally murdered.
* When Anders became everything I'd been trying to prevent, and I couldn't bring myself to do anything other than stay with him.

I love these games. :) Despite the tears.

When Bethany died I was really upset...reloaded and restarted the whole deep roads mission without her. Apparently it fudged my online profile update, i.e. my warrior Hawke shows tha he's still level 12...lol
