Since I ran into the Grey Wardens in my second playthru. I been thinking there has be connection in the game. i think found it.

We know the dwarf empire was the first hit by the darkspawn. the openning of DA:O says so. wether or not they the dwarf responsible is another matter. i believe darkspawn were created in the deep roads. Now if you a dalish elf during shriek attack and yalk tamlen before killing him he says he can here it singing to him not sure what he refering to. but in da2 Varric and his brother her music which noone else does from the idol.The idol corrupted two different people. i dont if just concidence or if the idol is important some way. \\\\i think the ancient dwarfs may had magic but it over time. Not mention if you take your sibling down there and turn them into a gw. the gws are not in a hurry. but in act 2 they in a hurry...
