Alright. So I've installed the game to both my external hard drive and my internal hard drive to try and gauge if my external's connection was shorting and caused the game to crash, but it still does it. I get to the first battle sequence, usually get to the character creation, then the next cutscene starts, it talks about the darkspawn and the horde that amassed for the fifth Blight in DA:O, but stops working just a few seconds into the cutscene. I've lowered the graphics to Medium and turn off V-Synch and anti-aliasing, but it crashed again. Haven't tried on low graphics yet, but on Medium it crashed before I even created my character. Here's my specs:

Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU     P7450  @ 2.13GHz
Clock Speed 2121 MHz
RAM 4.00 GB
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M
VRAM 1.00 GB
Realtek HDMI Output (Realtek High Definition Audio)
DirectX 11 (Jun2010) or later
Windows 7

Driver version on your video card?
Do you have the game on DX9 or 11 mode?

My game does the same thing. Anytime there is a cut-scene it just freezes and crashes. The opening cut scene or any other cut scene. I can skip the them right away and avoid this problem but I'd rather just wait for a patch to fix the problem because I played about 1 hour into the game and had no idea what was going on story wise.

Anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this???

The first thing you might wanna do is to check if your graphic card support DX11 and if it does, run DAII in dx9 mode.

It's kinda funny, I updated my video card driver and now the cutscenes play fine but the game freezes up during gameplay. Whatever....
