Depth of Field focus is static

So, now with the nVidia 267.59 driver workaround, I'm finally able to run the game on Very High with all options enabled. Problem is, it wasn't long before I noticed an issue with the Depth of Field effect. It seems that the game is always focused at a fixed distance, so that when you zoom in on your character your character looks out of focus but the background still looks sharp. The same happens when your character walks up to a wall and the camera HAS to zoom in. I'm posting 2 screenshots to show what I'm talking about, the first is with Hawke selected when I approached a wall:

Yeah, I have noticed it too. It is expecially visible when you wear a shield. When you zoom in, you see the shield very blurry.

If you turn off... uh... I can't remember the setting... it stops this. Depth of field blur? Something like that. The one that is supposed to make things far away a little blurry. I actually prefer it off in most locations although I haven't checked what it looks like in, say, Sundermount where the depth of field blur might be preferable.

Yes, this effect is bugged and makes your characters too blurry.

Same here. Gtx 570, win7. I disabled it.
