*SPOILERS*
I just beat the game a few hours ago and I dont think it made a whole lot of sence when it came to what happened with my romances. During the game, I got into a relationship with both Merril and Isabela at the same time. It started with the encounter with Isablea in my house and had told her that she should stay (she declined and left but the relationship was still intact). I then got into a relationship with Merril and I ended up getting her to stay at my house. When I talked to Isabela, she said she was ok with me being with both of them. I then got to act 3 where I helped Isabela to get her boat and I was able to chose the dialoge option that told her I would comer with her on her boat as long as Merril could come too. She said she was ok with this and I didnt really talk about the relationship again till the very last battle. At the last battle I kissed Merril before starting the fight (simultaneously getting the romance achievement) and I was not able to kiss Isabela at all or anything to the extent of romance. After I had beat the game Varric said that No one had heard of me except for of course Isabela.
So my question is, how did the game automatically decide that I was with Isabela and not Merril even though it always seemed like i was in a romance with Merril?
