i was thinking of playing through origins again but when i started the game i had no option to use my old saves to start the game with my level 23 or 35 characters. is it possible to import from previous saves and start the game at an advanced level? i seem to remember the ogre at the top of the tower at the start of the game being remarkably easier on my second play through. am i mixing up dragon age with another game? or just missing something in starting the game?

There is no way to start Origins at the beginning with your advanced level character as far as I am aware, though I am an xbox console player. Perhaps if you're on PC there is a mod, but as far as I know the only way you can import your higher level character is into Awakening/Golems/Witch Hunt.
