I hardly seen any change from the normal da1 save import did it really and any thing from awakening or witch hunt and so on?

Well, sparing Nathaniel Howe and making him a GW (and him surviving the game) will trigger a side quest in DA2 that takes your PC into the deep roads looking for him (his sister asks you to). I don't think even turning Anders over to the Templars in Awakenings changes what happens in DA2 so I guess that wouldn't hold much water. And Nate is bugged as no matter whether you spared the Architect or killed him, he says the Architect lived.
as for GoA and WH, I didn't find anything specific to those two DLC's in my save import to the game. Except we have a name for the mirror that Tamlen discovered which is revealed in WH and repeated in DA2. There might be more impact on someone else's save but my warden didn't go into the mirror with Morrigan.

The Howe quest and Anders dialogue will reflect choices made.

I think they said that Awakening is the only DLC that has an effect right now

Didn't Duncan give a name to the mirror in the Dalish Elf origin? I could have swore he did.

Nothing from GoA or WH was imported, as far as I can tell. I figured GoA wouldn't have any effect but I was at least expecting something from WH. I guess they're saving that for DA3.

nope, first time i heard the name was when Finn mentioned it in WH. Duncan just said it was some old tevinter thing that sometimes gets corrupted with time.

There's also a Zevran sidequest if you didn't kill him

I think the Nate bug is an import bug - he's not supposed to be there if you killed the Architect.  You get a Deep Roads quest to find 3 dwarves instead.

That;s why he's always saying the Architect is alive.  That works properly, its just that the import bugged, and registered a living Architect.

If you ask the bartender in the hangman about rumors one of them will be of a significant drop in pigeon population in Ferelden, he goes on to say what kind of monster would murder pigeons. So that's a reference to Shale. There is also a letter to the wardens from Avernus which I presume only occurs if you spare his life.

He asked about awakening and the DLC

So, Sophia Dryden didn't make it in?

There's a minor reference to Stone Prisoner.  Ferelden's pigeon population has taken a nose dive.

Shale reference happens in the vanilla game without an import. I used the default Hero of Fereldan at the character creation and got the Shale reference and Nathaniel Howe.

There is no reason to import a game.

If you spare Avernus, you find a potion on a body in the wounded coast in Act 1 that boosts your attributes by two points. Avernus made it. Not sure if the quest with the encounter you find it in triggers or not if he is dead.

Unless you want to get a specific assortment of choices.  Which is, and should be, the entire reason for imports.  Not extra content.

Hero of Fereldan doesn't put Bhelen on the Orzammar throne, for example.  Nor does it recognize the Hero of Fereldan as an Amell (actually none of the imports do).

Are you sure he's not supposed to be there if the Architecht was killed? The Dragon Age 2 official guidebook says the 3 dwarves quest is only supposed to appear if Nathaniel died at Vigil's Keep, was executed or never recruited as a Warden.

I had my Amell recognized as the hero of Ferelden. I think it was a dialogue with your mother in Act I...

you get the Terror of the Coast quest if Sophia Dreyden is still alive...so Warden's Keep actually gives you a side quest...

Did any of you who got the Nathaniel cameo do so while playing on a 360? I ask because I should have gotten the Nate cameo, I imported from Witch Hunt but had gone through Awakening with Nate still alive, but I never saw him, got the 3 dwarf mission instead. Wondering if the bug is specific to certain systems.

Its probable the default hero of Fereldan includes recruited Shale.

Nathaniel Howe Quest is there only if you imported a save with him surviving and was recruited of course. The Architect being alive or dead doesnt effect getting this quest.
Default Hero of Fereldan gets you the one if Nathaniel was never recruited or was killed.

Maybe the Architect surviving is something they overrode for the sake of the plot of DA3, such as how Anders surviving and Leliana going back to the Chantry happen regardless of your actions in DA:O.
