I just finished Merrill's quest in Act 3. Marethari sacrificed herself to the Pride Demon's possession to save Merrill, so we killed her. Then we encountered the pissed Dalish after leaving the cave - killed them, too. After getting back to Kirkwall I decided to drop by Merrill's hovel to see how she was doing.
Instead of talking about slaughtering the entire Dalish camp or Marethari's sacrifice, she's whining about how the mirror will not work. She then goes on to ask if Marethari, the old elf we just killed, sent me to lecture her. Then my Hawke responds with some quip about how Marethari is full of lectures, as though my main character is as deluded as the freaky blood mage. Merrill then starts talking about how the salvation of her people depends on the mirror, even though we just butchered her entire camp because of it.
The whole conversation felt like it should have taken place before the quest in which we massacred all the Dalish outside of Kirkwall. Might want to look into it, Bioware.
Weird Merrill conversation (Spoilers)

weird, i got the conversation with merrill crying about the death of her keeper at the start of act 3 before we slaughtered the dalish. Hopefully all of these problems will be fixed in the 1st patch.

I got the bug with her crying about the Keeper at the start of act 3, too. At first I was thinking "What are you on about, woman?" Didn't really work it out until after the Keeper actually did die. Was... confusing, to say the least.

Ah, I do remember her bringing up the death of the keeper some time ago. I went out to Sundermount and found Marethari alive, so I guess I just forgot about it.
