I'm very close to getting 100% on Fenris' rivalry since my character is a mage sympathizer.

I'm on Act 2 and am about to be ambushed to start one of his personal quests, but since my character is a nice guy and this quest involves his slavery, I'm worried I'll get a bunch of friendship points from it.

I'd like to get him to 100% rivalry so that it doesn't matter what I do on his personal quests.

Any advice on some points for him? I've already given him a book that I got some rivalry points for.

Judging by where he was in my playthrough, I wouldn't worry if I were you, unless you just want him as a 100% rival. I know that sounds vague but I don't want to give too much away.

Yes, this is what always messes me up!

OK - you can say you want to negotiate, tell him you want to wait before pursuing slavers and try not to be too nice to the girl inside the cave :)

Edit: Thanks guys, maybe I'll save before the quest and see how much it sets me back.

Also for the record, I'm fine with spoilers, since I've been spoiled on plenty already :P

Put him off to go find Hadriana. You get rivalry points and if you then travel in Kirkwall city, a second ambush will trigger. You have to go with him then, though, or he leaves the party. You can also tell the slavers you'll make a deal. On my sarcastic Hawke, it just sounded like she was making light, not a serious offer. But oh it made him mad. lol

If you get it to 100% before you say the nice things, it'll stay locked at 100%

Try getting his gift at the alienage at night, and making sure you get rivalry points for giving it.

Really?  I never got that, I tore around Kirkwall looking for Health Polticies before I went to his mission and I never got rivalry points for it

That's where his gift is? In Act 2? I've been looking everywhere...or so I thought. Could you point me to its location?

Did you tell him "we have more important things to do"?  That's what I mean by putting him off.

Thank you!!! That helps a lot. But isn't the Alienage in Lowtown?

Yes, it's in lowtown, in a sack, but only at night for some reason.

Eh, take your beef up with the guide writers; that is exactly what it says, word for word.

Sorry, did not mean to sound ungrateful. Thank you for helping me find it. =]
