Xbox mods?

I have yet to try the editor yet since I'm not home, but am curious about its extent. Is it as thorough as the Mass Effect 2 editor where we can edit our appearances, including what armor we're wearing?

PC > console!

You can edit the stats of your equipment and even custom build items to suit your needs.
For example I changed the Staff of Parlathan and the Lion of Orlais so that they evolve as you level up the same as Fadeshear.
There are limits to what can be done compared to PC, but it;s not just cash and attributes.
Have a look at it and if you have any questions come back and I'll see if I can answer them.
As always with modding, Chris' post here applies.

Mods are for the superior PC Gamers.
Not to mention the fact that the console gamers are basically just leeching, since they sure as heck can't conttribute any mods to the community.

Aah, petal, it's alright, you can go back to changing the colour of Merrils eyes, we'll just limit ourselves to what can be done on our limited systems, if that's alright with you sir.
Idiot troll.

Blame Microsoft for them not being able to do more, instead of taunting them with what we are able to do; do you really think that all mod makers only want PC/Mac users to be able to use their mods? I know I would want as many players to use mine as possible.

From what I know from reading on the Unreal Tournament 3 forums and Microsoft Developer website, it has to do with what the console makers have in place for rules regarding 3rd party content; Microsoft simply does not allow it unless you are a game developer, while Sony has been known to do so.

They still enforce a pretty strick rule on what they allow, but yes Sony is much more friendly to 3rd party contents. Personally I own both console, but with what the hacking scene's been doing with PS3 and the fact it offers alot more to start with, I only play my 360 for exclusives now.
EDIT: While I agree PC is the superior plateform for DA2, and moddable games in general, you don't have to be such an ass about it, Cambios.

Yes, if you have the "First Blight" editor v.1.0.8.0b you can add skill points and specialisation points BUT only if you have some to spend when you make the save, hardly a major issue.

Awesome. Can you give yourself specific items? Or only edit the items in your inventory?
I'll have to check this out later. Hopefully, we'll eventually be able to further edit Hawke's appearance

Each item has a selection of properties which identified by a code number (I can post a list of identified properties if you'd like).
So you can change the properties for an existing item e.g. the ring of whatever that is +1 all attributes will have the code 3EE listed with modifier 1, just up the modifier to whatever you like and there you go.
Alternatively you can completely change an item by changing it's property code(s) limited only by how many proerties the item already possess as, at the moment, you cannot add properties to an item. So the greater the number of bonuses the item gives you, no matter how poor they may be, the more valuable it is for you to mod.
So in the case of the Staff of Parthalon, I overwrote the +2 magic with the level up property and added another rune slot (runes are 1F40 - just change the modifier to add slots).
EDIT: The guys that made the editor say it is a work in progress so we may get access to some appearance stuff (similar to Gibbeds ME2 Editor) at a later date.

XBox is unable to mod. Sony has shown their dissapproval. You can do what's mentioned in this thread. It's sad how console gamers can't take part in what we PC gamers have enjoyed for years. The consoles would be moddable, but it all boils down to Sony and Microsoft making it possible, which -- with the same greedy mindset as a certain publisher whoose name is clear to all of us -- they don't.
It's possible to answer his question without looking down upon him because he's not using the PC.
Finally, a civil PC user.
While we can't do as much modding as the PC users because we cannot access the game code, it is possible to edit anything that is contained withing the game saves themselves, be that appearance, equipment or stats. Being an offline single player game gives some leeway, but it is very much against both MS and Sony's policies.

Unfortunately you can only edit items that are equipped on your character and companions, but that's still a lot of stuff in one edit.

If you could post the list of known attribute codes, that would be very helpful & appreciated. I imagine that it's only a matter of time before we are able to fully change the items we have rwuipped instead of only changing their stats.
Any game-breaking edits? On another forum, it was advised not to edit a rogue's bow for fear of corrupting a save, somehow (seems some people were having issues editing rogue gamesaves).

Mainly because consoles are toys, for children, where as PCs are awesome pieces of teechnology for the superior gaming archetype.
Console users mostly just want to push buttons and watch things blow up.
PC gamers want their imaginations and creativity engaged, and have a higher standard for their games.
Well, at least that's how I see it.

FOR 2H WEAPON USERS:
EQUIPMENT 1- WEAPON
EQUIPMENT 2- CHESTPLATE
EQUIPMENT 3- HELMET
EQUIPMENT 4- BOOTS

3E9 - dexterity
3EE - add to all attributes
456 - health regeneration
457 - mana/stamina regeneration

836 - 25% chance to reduce attack and movement speed
899 - 2.5% chance to enslave normal enemies
232B - immune to knockback
this no matter what number I put I don't do any deathblows, unless this is something different...only once in this game have I seen Hawke do a deathblow and this doesnt include the first time you fight that ogre. In the deep roads I saw Hawke rip an Ogre apart with magic spirit claws, but sadly I wasn't controlling him at the time so all I did was watch it from Varric's view :/
238C - % chance of deathblows
2393 - Bonus to disarm traps
2394 - Bonus to lockpicking
239A - enemies drop more coin
This one was taken from Bianca, I'm not sure if it works on anything else.
239B - improves with level up (CONFIRMED)
238E - XP gain
2397 - Drop better equipment
Companions are in a different order;
EQUIPMENT 1- WEAPON 1
EQUIPMENT 2- ACCESSORY (RING)
EQUIPMENT 3- ACCESSORY (RING)
EQUIPMENT 4- ACCESSORY (AMULET)
EQUIPMENT 5- ACCESSORY (BELT)
EXCEPT FOR AVELINE & ISABELLA WHERE EQ2 IS SECOND DAGGER/SHIELD GIVE 6 ITEMS.
Hope this helps.

Also, it is true that if you are a Rogue w/ a bow equipped, the save will not load in the editor. Sucks, but the creator said he's working on it.

Thanks for that list. I think the item property codes are a little finicky because whenever i mess with them, I end up with a corrupted save. Some of the codes also varry slightly from what you said---i.e. i'm finding that the "+ all attributes" is 2EE and the "+5% critical damage" is 452C. It's workable, but definitely hard to figure everything out since any error results in a corrupted save.
Also, it is true that if you are a Rogue w/ a bow equipped, the save will not load in the editor. Sucks, but the creator said he's working on it.
So that's why that keeps happening!
I think some versions of some items use a different code - I had an amulet with +1 armor as 454, so I stick to what I can identify clearly.
What I tried to do generally was modify enough items in 2 edits that I wouldn't need to do this again until very late in the game, if at all. First time I did it I ended up overpowering virtually all the items I edited so the next time I made a conscious decision as to what I wanted to achieve before acting, and they worked out better.

Yeah, if Microsoft wasn't so strict, Xbox could have all the PC mods.

Replace the mage only restriction with the level up and it's done.
Being able to overwrite the restrictions with additional proerties means you can upgrade pretty much any weapon you want.
