Hey guys, I've looked at some of the threads but can't seem to find anything to help my problem, seems the majority of the issues were related to steam vs non-steam.  I've edited the exe and even gone in and tried doing the steam method and cannot get the steam method to work either.  Edited the keybind as follows:

KeyBindings.ini:
OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_`
OpenConsole_1=(UNASSIGNED)

Which is in:
C:\\Documents and Settings\\MyName\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age 2\\Settings

I enter the game, hit ` and enter a command but it doesn't seem to do anything except open random windows as I'm hitting keys that would open those windows.  (I realize there's no visual indication that the dev console is open, but when I'm entering the runscript command, windows open like the character screen etc).  All I'm really interested in doing is adding the rogue class to my non-rogues so I'm not forced into taking a rogue with me to have lockpicking, other than that I can edit what I want such as gold or stats etc using other methods.

Does anyone have any idea what I may have done wrong?

Thanks!

I was having the same issues(didn't matter what I changed 0 to, it just didn't work), I changed 0 to Keyboard::Button_F10 and 1 to Keyboard::Button_F12 then like magic, F10 now worked. I have heard of some DAO issues like that, and mapping 1 to something is what fixed it.

Edited to add, also found editing the original shortcut didn't work for me eather, so I made a shortcut to the DA2.exe file instead of the launcher.

Er, not sure if the instructions you were following were unclear but you were always meant to make a shortcut of the DA2.exe, not the launcher.

I had trouble at first as well. My selected key didn't work so I changed it to F6 which works now. But also I had to make sure to start the game from the shortcut, and not EA launcher

I've seen it written both ways on differant sites, so I assumed editing the launcher's target worked for some as well.

I've left it as GRAVE and changed it to various keys.  I'll try the f keys as others have suggested.

And to others, yes the first issue I ran into was I changed the launcher by accident and realized that error and corrected it.  Thanks for the tips, will try them and see if any of it helps, thanks!

EDIT: F10 worked.  Thank you so much for the tips guys!

I do have one last question.  Has anyone found any bugs/issues from adding classes?  I'm not looking to take any powers or anything... I just hate being 'forced' into taking a rogue if I want to pop all the chests... so all I really care about is giving my main that ability.  Am I going to break anything?

Steam users will have to use the method that modifies the launcher's xml file.

@ Tosalen: Adding the rogue class shouldn't cause any major problems IF you are a warrior. If you're a mage... let's just say don't.
