I like to grab the '+dam the more you're hurt' passive, because hey, free +dam. And by the end of the game i had plenty of talent points to spend. Never got into the 'actually hurt myself to damage enemies' skills though, my mages can do that without getting hurt...

Reaver was my warrior's second special and only for Blood Frenzy. Her first special was Berserker and really only for Berserk. It was funny when enemies would snare her in a damaging hold and I would just laugh with glee, pop a stamina drought, and started ripping them apart. Or, if there are plenty of minions about, just zoom around killing the minions and then go back to tearing into the boss.

Reaver is by far the best Warrior tree. If only for Blood Frenzy. As the warrior you're ideally going to be pulling threat via the sheer damage output (I don't think any warrior should go without Cleave + Claymore), which means you take damage because of tons of dudes, which means Blood Frenzy will help maintain/increase damage output.

But the double-upped Devour is pretty good too. It will give you tons of health in tough spots, but it also cleans up DISORIENTED CCCs and sets up STAGGERED CCCs. I don't think you can lose from that.

The other specs are bleh, but Templar seems to be better thanks to the +50% Magic Resistance passive and the upped Holy Smite, but that requires significant skill point investment.

I really only use it to activate BF on my 2H_T since it drains his stam WAY to quick so that im left with a tank that cannot hold aggro. I recall it might be quite effective as a pure dps warrior, but im not sure since i haven't tried it. Still on first playthrough ;D

If you want your two-handed tank to hold threat then you need Bravery with Bravado upgrade. The more enemies you attack the more threat you generate.

Just taking the Reaver specialization gives a decent bonus, unlike some of the specializations.

I'm going to choose warrior on my third playthrough and I am interested in trying reaver again but I am worried about the health penalties. I tried it on Justice in Awakening but the outcome was not good. I am wondering what you folks recommend for building your reaver so that the health penalties are tolerable and you don't die quickly so I have better results this time? Thank you in advance!

it's astonishing.
By the way, upDevour works wonders against the arishok and lots of other enemies - they get instntstunned

I can't get Aura of Pain to be useful, thats like the only spec out of the tree that has no use.
I just die really quick when I activate Aura of pain.
