Did anyone else notice Cassandra's comments on Flemeth? Paraphrased: "I guess I shouldn't be surprised to hear about her involvement". I thought that kind of hinted at her involvement in other things, such as the reason Cassandra and Leliana are looking for the Champion in the first place. Leliana did say in the epilogue that the Warden is gone, too ... That makes it feel a lot bigger than just the Chantry collapsing; they need the the Great Heroes for something more. And, given Cassandra's comments, I'd bet Flemeth is a part of it, somehow.

Flemeth is probably Toth (the third Blight Archdemon). The timeline for Flemeth's birth and the third blight works out extremely conveniently - Flemeth in 3:0 Towers and the Blight at 3:25 Towers. My personal theory is that the game Flemeth is actually the daughter of the legendary Flemeth (the one in the stories in Origins), born in the same circumstances of the ritual. This would be why Flemeth knows how to 'free' the Archdemons in the first place, and is the reason for the stories about Flemeth and her daughters.

I never got the impression the Old Gods were evil. They taught mages and were revered by them, that doesn't mean what they were doing at the time was evil but might have been corrupted by the mages themselves. It's not the magic that's evil it's how it is used, similarly I don't think the Old Gods were either good or evil, just were.

That I think is also plausible.

I believe she is either an Old God, or a child of a Ritual done like Morrigan's. The Old God scenario is more of a possibility - I posted my theory in a thread...somewhere...about this very subject.
Lol...after she emerged from the amulet and said "all it takes is a piece," I immediately thought of horcruxes...LOL.

I've thought on this, too. I always wondered why the Darkspawn avoided her in the beginning of Origins. Morrigan states that Flemeth gave the Warden's group something else to "smell" so they could head to Lothering, but I wonder if Flemeth didn't simply find someway for the Darkspawn to just avoid the group.
And just the way she talks and speaks, she just comes off as a possibility.
Like a feeling in my gut that says, "Hey, you know... this could be right."
