I dropped points in about a 2/1 ratio for dexterity/cunning. Every other level i'd go 1 dex 1 cun 1 will/cons (will/cons varied every other time i'd go this format)

My first playthrough was with an archer rogue. I was sitting on about 150+DPS while Varric was down around 80 or so. As an archer, you'll want to specialize in the ASSASSIN specialization ASAP. Assassinate shreds through enemies, and a great combo to use is (can't remember the name) the talent that gives auto crit hits + Anders using Haste. You shoot twice as fast with automatic crit hits. (use that after using mark of death as well as hexing a boss for annihilation)

i spend my attrib points just like you . My archer is only level 9 but i went for shadow as it looked the best , you would say assassin is bettter for archer?

IMO: Shadow=DW rogue, Assassin=Archer rogue but both work.

But assassin is best early on for archers because they have a serious stamina problem.

Upgraded throw the gauntlet + Mark of Assassin + Horror(Merrill)+ Twin Fangs= Bye bye boss or at least 80-90% HP

DW Rogue throw mark of death
Fenris charges to gain aggro and Stagger
DW rogue activates the precision strikes (or whatever the assassin power is called) for 100% crit chance
Then BAM - Use the Duelist top level attack with upgrade. You teleport across the field for a high damage backstab with auto crit from the assassin power, lowered resistance on the mob, and I think 3x or 4x damage from the stagger combo upgrade......
This one shots pretty much everything. Anything still standing.... Assassinate. Auto crit and lowered resistance will both still be active in that time frame.

What I did was use Assasin first and then 2 points in Shadow (for +25% critical damage and +25%critical damage and DISORIENT when obscured). Now I just use Bursting Arrow (in front of me), Fatiguing Fog or Chameleon's Breath with Pinpoint Strikes for maximum damage and DISORIENT which my warrior and mages benefit from. Also putting enough points in cunning to further boost critical damage and also defense. So while obscurred you are almost impossible to get hit while dealing enormeous amounts of damage.
