I have been modifying the TorilGLobe placed effect - in the effects editor plug-in the image looks correct - but in game it is all washed out and the colors are very pale.
Does anyone know what I should modify to take the glare out of the in-game version?
I have darkened the beginning and end colors - but if you go too dark (black) the image is invisible...
I have been experimenting but I cannot seem to get the right results.
Any advice would be bonzer.

It seems like there is some kind of light source being projected on the image. But I ccant figure out where it is coming from.
...still plugging away.

Quoted from the vault:
Recommended Usage:
-Works Best in dark rooms.
- If you want the orb to be more visible then what you see in the Screenshot, you can double place it. The glow starts to look like clouds and you can actually make out the Moonshae isles on the orb itself.

Thanks Dann - I have been considering ways to make the area a bit darker - but double placing might be a good option - I forgot about that option - but that said I think the glare might be too much - there are not that many variables I can tweak in the VFX Editor so I will look to other options - like lighting and doubling up.

Reducing ambient light sources in the area seems to be doing the trick. While double placing cause way too much glare - the transparency of the graphics seems to be the culprit with rendered light and placed light - ie causing the effect to be washed out.
Anyway, I have a good working graphic now.
Info: What I am doing is using different graphics for the globe - the images still look better in the editor than in game but the end result is now satisfactory.
Cheers.
