Ok i've searched all i can over the forums on how to add party members but most of what i found wasnt any good, but i came accross another thread;

http://daforums.biow...hlight=follower

Now at the botton it says

Well, it is quite simple, but also took me some time to figure it out.

The documentation for the UT_HireFollower function you find in the Wiki is deprecated. It now only requires the object of the follower to be added. The old version was documented to take two parameters.

To
connect the script with the NPC via conversation you just need to call
the script I posted above as plot action script for a line, not as
condition script.

"Would you like me to follow you?"
-> "Yes!" -> Action script: hirepartymembers.nss
-> "No!" -> All empty, only [END DIALOGUE]

Now i've learn't abit about the toolset and i know how to do conversations just not how plots work with adding NPCS. When i have the new plot open all i see is a blank screen. I add a new main flag but after that i have no idea what to do or how to join it with the conversation at all.

Bioware supplies a custom plot for generic party events. In the conversation editor, go to the action section under the plots and scripting tab. Open the global folder, and then the party folder and find the gen00pt_party plot. With that plot selected, pull down the flags drop-down and find GEN_HIRE_FOLLOWER. I haven't tried this myself, but it should work. Just make sure your follower has the appropriate AI.

Isn't there one in the demo quest? Look through the scripts to find the Barkeep joining the party.
