So, which one do you like best? Best one I liked so far is the one you meet during the encounter with the second Varterral. Brought a smile to my face, I tell ya!

I liked Alistair's (the one I got, anyway). I know it's a tad cliche, but he was my favorite DA:O character (besides Anders), so seeing him again (especially with my little brother in tow) was pretty neat.

Um... the Grey Warden Archer? It was pretty awesome seeing him carry on as a hero. I guess his family is redeemed by now.

Are we not supposed to say their names in this thread? o.O

Edit:  You know... as much as I liked Alistair, when I met him I was in "Aggressive Hawke" mode and really just wanted to know what the hell he was doing in my city.  Guess I got too into the rp.

what?`there is a second Varterral? where?
The only one i know is in the cave during merills sidequest.

That was my favorite as well. But, really, I thought they were all pretty awesome mainly because I wasnt expecting it. After everything I read I thought they intended to keep this, with the exception of Flemeth, a totally self contained game. The cameos were a great surprise.

Yup, it was a real surprise for me too. I'm glad she made it into the game.

It's the location where the DA:O character is hiding. Let me know if you want to know more. A little down the road from the Golem selling stuff. Seriously.

You'll meet some people outside of the brothel, and that's where you get the quest.

it's strange however that i never met him in three different playthroughs. i thought i did all possible sidequests...

For Zev, you have to find some Antivan nobles in Hightown who appear during Act 3. I know the Hero of Ferelden and No Compromise histories both assume he survived... which is odd, I thought "no compromise" might assume the Warden slit his throat, but not so.

One cameo I'd like to see is Jowan, although I'm not sure if he would have one, because even if he did, it would require you to have finished a chantry board quest that was broken and unable to be completed on all platforms (without console commands/mods to force the event to trigger). I have a thread about it here

During the third arc you can find some antivans near the Blooming Rose. They'll give you the Quest.

BTW. who can tell me how to get the Quest to find Nathaniel in the Deep Roads?

Narhaniel was the flagship of cameos for me. At least when it comes to companions. I was supposed to encounter Loghain, but the save transfer system is not exactly bug-free.
Out of companions, I was really relieved to see Bodahn and Sandal, and glad for having them around.

Not really a cameo, but my favourite mention was in a codex entry. Reverend Mother Dorothea who helped Leliana in Leliana's Song became the new Divine.

Loved Lelianas entrance. She also looked stunning. Loved her "updated" look, comparable to how I liked Liaras "updated" look in LOTSB.
