I am having quite a hard time finding an appropriate build to solo nightmare with. Mages are quite squishy and the knockdown/stun is really annoying when stuff hits you. Rogues are in the same boat. Maybe I am not picking the right talents? I have tried elemental and primal so far and archery as rogue. Haven't tried warrior yet, but they seem to lack utility of mage or escape of rogue like stealth.

I don't get it. Why run solo? The game is obviously build around the fact that you bring companions with your, and that you sort out their personal matters.

I've had the easiest time soloing with a 2H warrior. You don't have to pull things back as you can just charge in, spam skills, get loot. Rock Wraith solo is probably the most boring on a 2H warrior though.

Mages are all about surviving until 8, then you get max fort by going force mage and you have nothing to worry about. You can go blood mage first, but it's kinda "meh" when compared to force mage.

I'm now undecided as to whether I like DW rogues or archer rogues more for solo. At first I said DW, but this recent archer build I've been using is ridiculous.

I'll post builds later, but they're not too different from what you would see in your typical playthrough.

NM solos baffle me since its simply alot of kiting, I do understand why people do it, but all the vids are simply kiting, I dont have the patience for it myself!

i don't think i could stand a nm solo run... be fun in AoE easy with a mage though

i just wouldn't be able to do hour long battles that should normally take 5 min or less

How do you solo Rock Wraith as 2H? Mind posting the build? It took me about 10 tries to do it with full party on NM.

from what I read Wowpwnslol you have to slide to its side before it attacks you. the rest is just getting out of the way while also hitting from the rear or side.

Is it possible to do a solo nightmare run? I did it on DAO but I spammed health and mana potions like crazy. With the cooldowns for potions I was wondering if it is even possible.

Yes. I've done it with both a Rogue and Warrior before. I suspect it's possible on Mage too, there are some very strong builds that you can do, I just haven't had the time to  try lately.
