My first Hawke almost always went with sarcasm, and did on that occasion, and got the kiss. My second Hawke was the diplomatic type, picked the diplomatic option and didn't get the kiss. I think the diplomatic option is actually the only one that doesn't end with a kiss.

I was quite happy about it! My Hawke's practically adopted her as a sister in his own snarky way and it was an adorable moment.
