Since the config of the hotkeys has always been a) confusing and
way too restrictive I actually never bothered using more than 'Space' and 'Tab'~Now I've dug out SoA & ToB once more to start another playthru, I wondered whether there are any tools, that give me more freedom in customizing my setup:
For beeing a FPS-Player I've made good experiences in using a central spot on the keyboard from where I can reach like 5 X 4 keys while my middle finger is always ready to hit that 'central key' :
For example:
R = central key (in Shooters this may be move forward)
F = the one other key for middle finger (move backward)
keys T, Y, (U); G, H, (J); V, B (N) and 6, 7, (8) are covered by the forefinger
keys D, S (A); E, W, (Q) and 3, 2 covered by ring finger -> while 'W' is, what TAB is for WSAD-Setting
key Z and < (or what was the key next to Z on American keyboards? :>) for the small finger[
long story short: how can I attach new functions to keys normally locked (like the numbers, SPACE etc)
and how do I bind 'show info' (the vanilla TAB function) to a different key like W (didnt find it in the tables)
