Starting my 2nd play thru,

Is it possible to keep Isabela to the very end of the game?

On first play thru:
She grabs the relic and I never see her again.

You need her to be friendly (I think to 50%) or romanced.

Be at max friendly or rivalry to her, fulfill her questioning belief segment, and tell her she can keep the relic.

She permanently left my group and was just past 50% friendship at that stage. I'm still trying to figure out how to keep her to stay on my 2nd run but I'm not at that stage yet.

I read you have to romance her...guess I will most likely never keep her then

I didn't romance her. She came back anyway.

If you complete her Questioning beliefs quest, let her keep the relic at every opportunity and do not reveal her theft to the Arishok, she will 100% be back at the Viscount's keep.

I believe a high friendship and/or romance will work here too. I told her I was taking it to the Arishok, told the Arishok it was her, and she still showed up at the keep.

She must be at 50% rivalry or friendship in order to return. She doesn't have to be romanced. So you should be safe as long as you get her Questioning Beliefs conversation (it marks he halfway point of any friendship/rivalry).

She was my main squeeze. Came to me when my mother died. I told her to give it back to the Arishock but she stole it again anyway. She came back to me and returned it to the Arishock but he dueled me to the death for her. At that point she parked at the Hanging Man and had to be talked into rejoining the group which wasn't that hard. I'm playing a fairly good warrior who snaps occasionally. I think I cussed her out for betraying me but pumped up her lowly opinion of herself.

Watch out Scarren.

I did the exact same thing.

However, I romanced Merril throughout and was surprised to find out that I run off with Isabella in the closing narration.
