That's probably not a bad idea.... I had no idea there were so many already! Sia, do you want to do it? If not, I can. I'm pretty good with bbcode formatting.

We could do that, or people could just PM me their stuff.  But both threads will possibly get lost in all the mod threads that pop up.

Up to y'all.

Whatever you do, I'd request a sticky for the fic listing, like they have for the mod lists. I can't imagine they'd say no.

You'd be surprised.  They said no on the ME side.

Yeah, that's why I have the link in my sig. But the DA side is more welcoming of fic in general.

We just need to decide what we want to do.

If we can get a pinned post I think that would be best, just because iirc the DAO fic listing is like three or four posts long by now

Lupus, since you have a better grasp on the coding/formatting, I'll let you do it. I'll take the second post, just in case.

OK, I'm on it. I'll add a couple buffer posts, too, just in case.

Done

I thought the blue was a bit easier on the eyes against the grey background. What do you all think? I can change it if the red was better.
(also emailed one of the mods that is online now to ask for a sticky.)

I think the blue is easier to read than the red. Thanks for setting up the list.

No problem. :)
Hopefully a mod will get back to me soon

Mystery mod gave us a sticky.  I emailed a few so I have no idea who did it, though.  :wizard:

Thanks, Lupe!

(I've decided to call you Lupe since my dad actually has Lupus and that abbreviation felt weird.)

I'm going to remove all the listings from my OP. You got everything you need?

The blue's wonderful!

SurelyForth wrote...

If you upload a story to fanfiction.net, once you have it how you want it, you can hit the html button in the corner of the UI. It throws up a box with your story in html. Then you can go to Deviant Art, click the "Add Text" button and just copy the html from ff.net into that box and...voilà! A perfectly formatted story.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! **endless hugs**

That works. It's a William Gibson reference, but I've since realized not as many people have pretty much memorized Neuromancer like I did. ;)

I should be good, edit away.

OK, done. Now it's back to a semi summary. ;)

I've read your explanation before, I've just not been able to appriopriately abbreviate it.  So... I'm going with Lupe. ;)

Feel free to shorten mine to Sia.

No, that makes perfect sense. And I totally live in Oblivious Bookworm World where things like that never occur to me until months after the fact.

In fic news.... I'm seriously considering commissioning someone to do a pic for Leap that I can use as a preview image on DeviantArt and a header/title graphic on Dreamwidth and AO3.
Problem being, I'm not anywhere CLOSE to the point in the story I'd want depicted. I'd definitely want something with Anders and Malina, but she's not even out of Lothering yet. Shoot, she's not even to the blight yet. The last chapter was set in 9:27 Dragon.

(I also kinda really want to get an Aimo card of Sif and Jowan from Stone and Sky since I adore how she draws dwarves.)

Apparently adding the "Tragedy" tag isn't the path to having the most views. ;P I'm 3/5 finished with Heart of the Legend and I still have fewer views for it than my parodies, even while counting hits for all chapters.

Also, I'm reaching the climix of HotL in chapter 4 (short story and all), and only now I realize that it's going to be difficult for me to hurt my main character like I have to. Sure, there's a bit of comforting after the climax, but then someone dies. Such an upbeat chapter to write!

Well, I'm still terrified to end The Rescue. And since I've promised myself no new projects till at least one of them is done... this is getting annoying.

I know how I am. If I have an idea gnawing away at me I won't be able to focus on anything else until I give in.
And sure enough, just as soon as I got a bit of DA2 out of my system, inspiration returned for everything else.

Yeah... but the ideas for DA2 are amorphous at best.

I actually am terrified of finishing a novel. I sat down to write a final fight in my own intellectual property novel last night and gut twisting, hand shaking terror ensued. Feels no different than trying to finish The Rescue.

I need to get over this.

I know how you feel. I have a decent excuse for not ending my big fic, namely DA2 turning it into the most OOC thing ever, but I'm really close and even the bits that aren't "What was I thinking when I came up with this?" just don't want to happen.

So frustrating.

I can reconnect TR to DA2 and Awakening. Thankfully, the oddest thing I did was make Cullen a Grey Warden. And he wouldn't be the first to leave the order.

There is no way I could connect AOA to DA2. Shoot, in AOA Anders is now in his 40s, married, and has made some ethical choices new!Anders would never touch. And they're several years after the ending of DA2.

But I have figured out a nice way to wind it into Stone and Sky... despite the AUness of Jowan being in that one, and keep similar themes in both. That made me happy.

GODDAMNIT.

Guys, for any of you who use livejournal, is there any way to recover a post if you're editing an entry and the browser crashes? Because a drabblet just turned into about five pages, and I REALLY don't want to rewrite it all.
