I'm with you! I do really hope to see my Hawke in DA3
I want my Warden back, I liked him more than Hawke: But I still want Hawke to take part in the game. It would tie the first two storys togheter and make the third game epic for me! : )

I'm wondering what happened to the Warden if he/she was king/queen. If they're missing, who is ruling Ferelden?
The Warden's spouse?

Most likely, Anora. The only way that wouldn't be a possibility would be if Alistair married a Cousland.BrokenMagic2717 wrote...

If male, Anora. If female, Alistair.

In my mind even a mention of the warden or hawke and what they did after the games would be a luxury and i dont know how well it would go over with the community, "their" pc doing something they did not choose but the writers did.

Also, Sandal is the main source of information for what is to come, he talks about magic returning to everyone and some strange stuff about the sky opening up when "he returns"
coupled with the fact that he also talks about a scary lady with a scary laugh that enters his room at night (which could really only be flemeth) perhaps he plays a bigger role than we thought
I think that the "he" in the "he returns" part of sandal's prophecy is the old god baby raised by morrigan
Cassandra will probably return along with leliana, MAYBE Hawke will make an appearance, but I highly doubt the Warden will. you never know

But in DA2 the Champion slaughtered all the Warden's Dalish clan! How can they possible work together after that? Yikes.

Rather, if you romanced Leliana in Origins it *seems*, by her words, that the relationship didn't last. While I can understand why it wouldn't, that the break up/reason for it not being mentioned jarred me fiercely.
Just so I know I'm not screwing something up here, does Leliana mention to anyone something that even remotely suggests she and the Warden (Provided she was romanced) remain romantically involved?

Warden: You killed my clan!
Hawke: ... it's all Merril's fault. She controlled me with blood magic!
Merril:. Yes.. wait, what?
Warden : MERRIL!!
Hawke:

For what it's worth, she uses the present tense:" Yes, I knew the Hero of Ferelden. He/She is ... dear to my heart." They might be physically separated due to extenuating circumstances and not because they broke up. I doubt the writers intend to dwell much on this.

The seekers are looking for both because together the warden and hawke has power to end the mage/templar rebellion while stopping an even greater danger to ferelden. Honestly i cant wait for DA:3 to come out but at the same time for me it would be such a let down to not choose and play either one of my favorite characters Hawke or the Warden both working together or in their own storyline to bring ferelden together to face an impending danger.
Honestly, I won't be surprised if this whole "where are the Hero of Ferelden and the Champion of Kirkwall?" thing turns out to be a huge red herring. Something to drum up interest in the interval between DA2 and DA3. It's more likely that Hawke or a new protagonist will be the player-character in DA3 while the Warden gets mentioned a few times, and won't been seen or heard.

given what we've seen and devs have said so far, this.
