I, uh, yes - you can kill Wynne if you side with the Templars. You can also listen to her side of things and decide that the right of annulment isn't the best solution.

Morrigan: Blah blah blah all the mages suck except me.
Me: Well maybe you're right.
Wynne: APOSTATE! APOSTATE! I KILL YOU!

The only part I'd truly consider Wynne to be unreasonable is the following:

Thank lord for F5, so I didn't have to get stuck with killing Wynne. No healer for the loose. D:

Indeed, Wynne suddenly going militant of me came right out of left field (I was just trying to keep approval balanced as Morrigan of course has a problem with every single thing I say).

Yeah, Morrigan seems to hate anything I do that isn't evil or what have you. And this just makes my friendship with Alistar go down the drain, and now I can't even give him gifts to help it. x_x

Having a healer isn't really necessary and tends to let you down more than it helps you, expecting their heals to be sufficient enough when in truth they're barely effective.
Case and Point:
Recently I killed Witherfang and her werewolf army, which I now regret because werewolves are amazingly stylish. Here's a brief over view of my final battle with the werewolves.
So there I was all relaxed and cool tanking the werewolves with my main characters taunt and what not, slowly but surely getting the mass ammounts of werewolves down with Shale and Zevran. When suddenly I realize that my tank needs a heal, so naturaly I quick pause swap to my healer set up a heal swap back then un-pause. However to my dismay that 1 heal aggroed a good 1/2 of the werewolves and my healer was dead instantly. No worries I thought, I have HEALTH POULTICES! Almost instantaneously after this thought came to my mind the werewolves that had killed my healer decided to switch over to my rogue (Damn lying tooltips! Wearing heavy armor does not give you more aggro!) killing him instantly as well. So I thought to myself "well this is a pretty ****ty position to be in, good thing Shale is still a-"...down goes Shale. By now your probably thinking im dead, 10 werewolves + Witherfang at 50% and no one but my main character alive, i have no chance in hell. However through some clever positioning, keeping Witherfang off my character and limiting the number of werewolves on me at any given time I was able to survive this bout and emerge victorious through the use of a mere 20 health poultices.
No, the game was not set to easy, it was set to normal, and I use a 1h + Shield.
Is this Wynne?

Yeah yeah you could buy a book and make Morrigan a Spirit Healer... but she'd still have her useless shapeshifting abilities. And I dun like her.

Have you ever read a thread and it seems as though each post is an entity in itself and not really a reaction to anything else in the thread?
Yes. Right now, reading this thread. I chalk it up to reaping the benefits of allowing poor grammar to flourish on the internet. Communication breaks down and people just do their separate things.

with a high spell power, group heal is like the most powerful defensive spell in the game., and its pretty cheap too.
Offensive is imo blood wound,
Btw, if you let Wynne become a bloodmage....well, is it possible?

so your telling me, that i was wrong in killing all of the remaining mages to ensure that they would be given a merciful death whilst preventing more templars from dieing and possibly more innocents?
tsk tsk tsk you feeble minded fool
You... can... use the scroll that Niall gives you... to... save them........... all of them...................... See why Wynne might find your actions cruel, lazy and unusual?

Threaten + Taunt is good. Really good.

Healer is very helpful, much better than drinking potions like water.
I disagree, the cooldown on heal is not only longer than the cooldown on potions, but potions don't share cooldowns with other types of potions. In addition to that potions typically restore more health than heal.

Well, a character stunned in any way, e.g. pinned down by a spider or paralyzed, cannot drink potion, or be healed in any way except a healer's healing; you cannot drink a potion that heals the whole party; you cannot resurrect dead party members during combat without a spirit healer; healing is relatively free.
At end level, a healer with at least 40 magic will be able to heal as much as a Greater Healing Potion with each Heal. "Typically more" is a very rough generalization caused by your own healer's low magic. Since Heal the spell heals more than 2 out of the 4 healing potions, I'd say your statement is incorrect.

On-topic though, yes killing all mages in the tower results in Wynne dying
