Can a rogue attack or use items while in stealth mode in DA2? Or this ability is only to get away from danger

Ah when you use an ability from stealth you unstealth. But there are talents that do things like give you a 100% crit change from stealth and bonus damage etc.

There is also a talent where if you're both Obscured and Stealthed you can do one action without losing Stealth and lose Obscure instead. It can pair well with another ability that Obscures you whenever you enter Stealth.

Honestly though, Stealth really is only useful as an escape in my experience. Granted, I went assassin/shadow so I already had 100% crit when flanking so the 100% crit while leaving Stealth would have been pretty much pointless, but still...
