I found a ring with this on it and decided to give it to Aveline since it theoretically would improve her threat. I checked her auto attack damage against "melee" enemies with it and without it and there was absolutely no change. I then put it on Fenris to see if it worked with him and it didn't. So what exactly is this supposed to be doing?
Also, Blood Slave works on creatures without blood, unless "skeletons" now have blood.
100% of basic attack damage vs enemies that attack in melee doesn't seem to do anything.

yea it does.......
Its a counter attack ring.
Stand in the middle of a mob and watch them attack you with melee attacks, the same damage they give they also receive.

It doesn't say anything about a retaliation effect, but if that's really how it works then it seems like it would be ok, but doing 100% damage with YOUR basic attacks would be better and it's also what the ring suggests it does.

Yeah, it's a really vague descriptor... I didn't even know what it did until reading this. I figured it doubled my damage against normals. If that's the case, "100% Counterattack damage" would have been a much better choice of words.

Consider it your marrow slave... that's the explanation my friends use when a skeleton becomes "bloodied" in DnD =P

If you use Sacrificial Frenzy with one of these items, you receive a lot of damage, and get knocked down sometimes.

Consider it like the Thorns aura from D2.
