Healing Aura doesn't seem to do anything. Help?

Base regen appears to be the equivalent of 20 points of health regen (same with stamina, while mana looks like 30 base). This amount is equivalent of 1% of your maximum every 5 seconds. So 100 points of regen is essentially 1% of maximum per second (though the tick rate appears to be 2s or so) on top of your other regen.

I'm lvl 19 with same specs (Spirit Heal Force Mage). I realized right out the gate the aura was useless. I just pop it on to use group heal or revive then take it off while they cool down. Should definately be stronger given the reserved mana/no offensive spells downsides but oh well.

In laments terms, Healing Aura and Panacea is useless beyond taking it to unlock the other branches of the tree. Don't bother with the upgrades to it.

Well it's so useless that it makes me think that the skill is bugged. Like there's some sort of regen cap that stops it from working properly.

And so far, even though people are describing what the resulting effects of the move are, no one has said, mathematically, how that is calculated from the stat "+100". (i.e. +100 regen means 100 hp per minute or something)

Basically, I'm trying to figure out if it's SUPPOSED to be so low.

I did.  I said it means +100%.  And I'm sticking to that until proven wrong.  Not sure where you're getting "+100 Points of regen translates to X percentage," but I never saw anything that said that in game so I'm going with Occam's Razor.

Base regen is 20 points of regen, which is translates to 1% of your maximum pool (stam or health) every 5 seconds. Mana base regen appears to be higher (30) but otherwise works on the same formula (so base mana regen is 1.5% every 5 seconds). Therefore 100 health regen means 5% health regenerated every 5 seconds, or basically 1% every second, on top of whatever other regen you have. Regen otherwise appears to be linear.

This is fairly straightforward to test in game. Just realize that the 'ticks' occur every 2 seconds and since most of the time the regen is not evenly divisible and thus require multiple observations.

Source please?  I never saw anything in game about having "Points" in regen.  You sound sure of yourself so I'm inclined to believe you, I just want to know where this mechanic is explained.

I'm not impressed with healing aura either. But I do think + health regen stuff is bugged. I've tried stacking all health regen gear on, got ouched pretty bad and ran over to stand next to Anders while he had his healing aura on and the health doesn't seem to go up. Unlike in DAO with something like the lifegiver ring on which has a much smaller combat health regen and you could SEE and FEEL the difference in battle.

umm +100% of what? +100% of 1health per second? +100% of 4 health per second? what?
