I played this fight like 400 times trying to beat it on nightmare. While doing this i noticed that you can loot the Lt during the fight and hes got some items (one looked like a quest item). when i finally beat the fight I didnt loot anyone and it booted me right out of the chantry. What happens to that loot? You cant go back to the chantry to loot the corpses or anything.

It was just a letter that adds a codex entry. And the fight isn't too bad, did it on nightmare today by running to the other side of the balcony.
