Thinking about it, they ARE many connections between the two. Just throwing it out there since I know people think Flemeth's Andraste. But here's why I think she's Andraste:

•  She supposedly had a dream about the Maker
• If we defiled the Urn, she's still alive despite being killed NEAR Andraste's remain, (sort of OGB baby-Dark Ritual-soul into her thing???)
• Even if we hardened her, she's still a Seeker despite not being as devout afterwards.
• She's pretty.
• Andraste was a human and Flemeth is not, (according to Morrigan).

I stopped considering it after 'She's pretty'. Honestly, you can make connections to a lot of things even while knowing they aren't true. Not so sure about this one in particular.

She may be A prophet, but Andraste she is not. Like the poster above said "she is pretty" isn't exactly compelling evidence, especially seeing as pretty is subjective and that we don't know what Andraste looked like.

1.The only valid argument there is the first one which could mean anything.

2. We don't know how Leliana is still alive.

4. Also we don't know for sure if Andraste was human.

But Leliana's looks are subjective, despite what Andraste is intended to be. I actually modded her in DAO to something more akin to my tastes. I still don't find her to be that beautiful.

No - Leliana is "Joan of Arc" in Dragon Age.

She does receive messages from the Maker (of course, in the form of signs and portents - not phone calls) and she is a true disciple of the Maker (unlike a great deal of the Chantry).

Beyond that - I think she's just a person and not Andraste.

At least - that's my take.

Well she may be a prophet, but unlikely Andraste, unless reincarnation happens in the DA World, in which case Sandal iss clearly the leader of the Imprerium, and as punishment he comes back as a retarded dwarf, see I can do it too.

I dunno, they made a stand alone story about Leliana so I am sure Leliana is important to the mythos, but I doubt she is Andraste. I mean a little bit of the ashes could've somehow healed her and brought her back to life. The temple where you find the urn was pretty supernatural and for all we know "true" believers couldn't die in there as was the purpose of the tests.

1. Just because she had a vision doesn't make her the second coming of Andraste.

2. The urn has healing powers. if she is still alive after being killed its either that or a glitch the devs never worked out

4. How do know Andraste was human? she's 1000 years old(Flemeth is too probably) and Flemeth certainly looks human.

Andrastes lore as I see it is a mix of Andraste the goddess, Boudica, Joan of Arc and Jesus.

I can certainly see Andraste having some sort of a "second coming" and being reincarnated in Leliana. Maybe Leliana will regain some of the memories of Andraste to aid the Warden? she certainly seems to have a strong memory of the flower Andraste's Grace which is only grown in Fereldan which she attributes to her mother or perhaps it is a memory of Andrastes?

Also the name Andraste:
"Her name is thought to mean "the invincible one" or "she who has not fallen""

Which would explain why Leliana did not die, probably because she is protected by the Maker.
